Today, we pause the correction for a little sideways action as Bitcoin trading volume has cooled off and price is down 1% to $6,400 as we approach the weekend. Coins like Ethereum and OMG are a little worse off down over 4.5% while Ripple and Ethereum Classic are barely in the green. Looking at the altcoin race between aElf, FunFair, Tron, Lumens and 0X, Lumens is up 2.3% in the lead while ELF lags in last place, down 4.5% on the day.

You can see the Bollinger bands squeeze in and then the break downwards from the top.We have been consolidating between $6,300 and $6,550 for the time being but the MACD crossing up resulted in no pump at all and we are overbought on the STOCH. If I were to wager, I would think that we might hit the $6,550 mark again and then correct back down to the lower Bollinger line for the short term. No scalping for me on BTC and I will sit on my BTC fiat.

Looking at the daily chart, I am talking to myself with cautionary tones regarding my fiat in case recent history repeats itself. It is a bit of a mess but you can see the last drop on the STOCH, then the following skid on the STOCH that resulted in the subsequent drop t the eventual bottom. Having lingered to long on the Overbought section of the STOCH, the drop we are in now was inevitable. The difference is the steeper angle of the drop on the price and STOCH and the momentum it has to cause a skid on the bottom of the STOCH again. This voice is causing me to resist the FOMO of believing this correction is over despite being at the bottom of the STOCH. I could be wrong of course but am playing it cautiously before rebuying in my swing trade strategy.
