Open Source Hardware is where design is made publicly available so that anyone can study, modify, distribute, make, and sell the design or hardware based on that design. This means schematic,PCB design ,hardware developer community and software developer community are available to support you.

  1. https://www.raspberrypi.org/, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi: This is a very low cost single board computer and you could develop many iot based products .some examples https://www.hackster.io/raspberry-pi/projects
Cryptocurrency can be mined with raspberrypi setup..example http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/raspberry-pi-mining/

2 Beaglebone Black
This is my favorite , I have been a developer on this platform for 4 years now
https://beagleboard.org/ . It has much powerful processor AM335X and more memory and overall a better value for some serious work
https://beagleboard.org/project

Cypto mining with beaglebone black. Open source code is available here
https://github.com/slayersoft/MineNinja . This needs some work. I will give a try to port to profitable altcoins

You also could cluster any of these boards and possibly could create witness and seednode. To me network bandwidth at home is not ideal though and not sure about cost effectiveness of business class connectivity.

Other popular Open source boards are

3 Arduino Uno
4Banana Pi
5PandaBoard
6 Intel SBCs

A full list is here

I do have an interesting project where beaglebone cluster is used for AI and Deeplearning and using Java (JINI)
I will do a blog on that given AI has lot of attention these days

Hey @sanees!
As promised here are some tips regarding your steemit blog.
First of all, since you are based in Philadelphia and interested in crypto you might get in contact with @knircky who shares the same home base and interests :-)

Now checking your article, there are two things that called my attention right away:
GOOD - you've received upvotes from very powerful users (firepower and pharesim are influencers on steemit), so your blog has definitely a good visibility and calls the attention of the right audience.
IMPROVABLE - why don't you reply to comments? That's very important in a community like steemit, especially when you are willing to grow your blog. So: engage, people will reward that :-)

When it comes to writing style, I'd recommend you to use cross headings. That considerably improves the legibility. So try to use bigger font sizes to bring the important Information to the front and use smaller fonts for details that might stay in the back. The attention span of social media users is short, so try to be precise and clear.

Very important: be careful when quoting information from other websites. I haven't cross checked it but according to the bot's comment cheetah, you've copied content from another website into this article https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@sanees/centralized-vs-decentralized-part1
If you do that, you always need to clearly mark the quote and include the source of Information. Otherwise you might get flagged and lose related rewards. The best way to avoid trouble here, is to produce original content.

Last but not least, the crypto topic is highly competitive on steemit. Obviously many users have a wide knowledge in crypto currencies, blockchain technology and related fields. So you might ask yourself: how could I stand out in this area? What makes my information valuable? Have I really something new to tell?

Then: connect with like-minded people in the network. Try to contact the successful bloggers without being spammy. Follow them, leave topic-related comments in their blogs, be an interested community member. Learn and provide value. Then the rest will follow automatically.

We hope you enjoyed our little coaching.

Thanks for the response. Its great ...Regarding the cheetah bot, i am not sure why its doing. So i quote a para from another article and give link to the article.Just below that I state to my audience that whats described in the link may not be correct depending on such and such situation. If I have skipped that article,I donot think i could have proven the point.

Try to avoid copying a whole paragraph, then you won't have any problems :-)

I hope
