Please Stop - Making posts where 50% of your content is your 3% Genesis Mining Link. Thank you. [a rant]

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to do my best to enjoy this community, attempting actually utilize it as network and a platform for information, socializing, and the like. However, as I navigate this site, I'm disturbed to see so many posts where the majority of the content is people asking others to use their genesis mining referrals. Please understand, that by now everyone knows about the referral program (more or less). Keep in mind People utilizing your referral code is ultimately a service to you similar to people using an amazon link of yours or any affiliate program.

I understand, that bringing some revenue to yourself for whatever reason, is part of the business (for some more than others) about creating content for consumption. As you've likely noticed, most reputable individuals creating real content have their referral links, amazon links, and wallet addresses listed towards the end of their posts, akin to a signature section to allow for consumers of their content "give back." At the very least, the majority of their content doesn't start with "HEY GUYS! GREAT NEWS!" This (as in providing avenues to give back, and a benefit the consumer of the content) I think, is completely legitimate, and I encourage you to support your favorite v/bloggers by using their referral/affiliate links! Please continue (or start) creating content (or sharing, this is defined loosely) that wants us to utilize your referral link over the thousands of others floating about steemit.

Now, provided you shared your affiliate link thinking your new venture was the bees knees innocently, this post need not apply to you! (just a heads up!).

Cheers!

P.S. This is relatively ranty post - don't go too crazy :3.

WITH THAT SAID! If you ARE looking to try genesis mining! Save 15% by using my... Just kidding. I run a small rig from home :3. And, on a serious note, I don't like the idea of admin censorship of type of posts I am talking about as it would be nice to see we the community curating our own content.

Notable Edits: Removed the statement "Have you seen what mining tag looks like?" (or something like that) from the first paragraph.
