🗞 Developers Launch Bitcoin Cash Social Media App ‘Hivr’

On Monday, Oct. 22, a new Bitcoin Cash-powered social media application called Hivr launched in beta form. The platform, available for Android devices, features a wallet, native tipping, posting to a social news feed, instant messaging and more.

Developers Launch Bitcoin Cash Social Media App 'Hivr'Over the past few months, numerous developers have been building forums and social media platforms on top of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain. Now a new project is attempting to test the social media waters with a splash of BCH on the side. Hivr is a social media application for Android devices that allows users to post, tip and chat with one another using a native instant messaging system.

🗞 Blockchain technology poised to enter European settlement system

• The FT reports that SETL, the UK fintech group, has received a licence to operate a central securities depositary from the French market regulator, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers, a move the FT describes as ‘a further coup for proponents of blockchain technology’.

• SETL will be able to connect its ‘permissioned-blockchain’ network to the ECB operated Target2 securities settlement system.

• SETL’s platform does not use a cryptocurrency, instead allowing settlement in fiat currency.

• SETL’s blockchain-based CSD is likely to go live in early 2019.

🗞 Johnny Depp to Produce Film Within Crypto-Powered Content Distribution Platform TaTaTu

U.S. actor and producer Johnny Depp is partnering with crypto-powered social entertainment platform TaTaTu, according to a report by film industry media Hollywood Reporter posted Monday, Oct. 22.

As a part of the new agreement, the Hollywood star is going to team up with TaTaTu founder Andrea Iervolino in order to create and produce film and digital content together. According to the article, the content is set to be produced by the Infinitum Nihil film production firm owned by Johnny Depp.

It's been almost a year since bitcoin traded near $20,000, but that isn't stopping innovation in the market from reaching other kinds of all-time highs.

In fact, according to CoinMarketCap, the leading provider of cryptocurrency data, there's never been more cryptocurrencies in existence than now. Launched in 2013, CoinMarketCap listed its 2,000th crypto asset this month with the addition of Labh Coin (LABH).

🗞 ING Implements Zero-Knowledge Set Membership For Data Privacy

In November 2017, ING's blockchain team announced its first major breakthrough, which it believed could encourage the use of blockchain technology in financial systems and services. The new code, a "zero-knowledge range proof" (ZKRP), was aimed at protecting clients' data as it is being stored and transacted on a blockchain network.

The support line in green looks strong and we are taking some distance from it : good news ! We have now to break the previous high around 0.87$. This break will be really the short term signal for the start of a new UP trend. Let's see if we can reach that objective. We are almost at 0.84$ when I'm writting this article so this is really possible.
