2. What is PumaPay?

2.1 Difference between pull type settlement and push type settlement

2.4 Future of PumaPay

今回横浜で開催されたブロックチェーンカンファレンスに行ってきましたので、Steemiansにもその様子をご紹介できればと思います。

2. What is PumaPay?

暗号通貨の決済サービスはいくつかありますが、このプーマペイが注目を集めている理由は、業界初のブロックチェーン上で行われる「プル型決済」という仕組みにあります。プーマペイは暗号通貨を日常的の生活で広く使えるようにするための包括的なソリューションを提供します。特徴はプル型の決済手段を暗号通貨で行える点です。

2.1 プル型決済とプッシュ型決済の違い

Steemianが使う大半の決済の暗号通貨プロジェクトはプッシュ型の決済システムを展開しています。プッシュ型決済は個人がATMで送金処理をおこなうのがこれにあたります。言い換えれば送金元、もしくは引落し先、金額、日時を支払い側と受取側のどちらかが入力することになります。プッシュ型では、消費者のウォレットから金額を指定して店舗のウォレットに送金するプッシュ型、店舗側が支払い金額などの情報を含めたQRコードを生成し、消費者がスキャンすることで引き落とされるプル型決済のタイプがあります。

契約して定期的に引落される電話料金や公共料金、インターネットや動画配信サービス、家賃などの月学制は全てプル型決済です。

現状、これらの決済は銀行、もしくはクレジットカード会社を介して行っていますが、もし暗号通貨でこれができるようであれば今まで受け取り手に課された手数料は激的に下がります。プル型決済が実現できるようにならないと暗号通貨は普及しないとプーマペイ日本代表の片山森雄氏はいいます。

2.2 取り扱う仮想通貨

iOSとandroidのアプリにウォレット機能があり、ERC20トークンであれば全てウォレットに保管することが可能です。今月からビットコイン、ビットコインキャッシュ、リップル、エイダ、ステラなどのメジャー通貨も補完できるようになります。

2.3 PumaPayの特徴

プーマペイのプル型決済では、受取側が自由に決済をデザインできます。例えば一カ月の無料試用期間の後に、正規料金を毎月引き落とす決済や、初月は1万円で、翌月から毎月千円というような決済も必要に応じて設計できます。

またプーマペイは定期払いや前払いだけでなく、都度払いにも対応しています。プル型決済ではQRコードやクレジットカード、電子マネーがありますがプーマペイを導入すると、PumaPayのウォレットからQRコードを読み込んでプル型コントラクトを承認することで、引落型の支払いができます。

現金支払い以外はプーマペイで代用することが可能です。

2.4 PumaPayの今後

プーマペイでは利便性を高めるために、この機能をホワイトラベル化して、色々なウォレットに広げようとしています。公開されたAPIを利用すれば将来的にはマイ・イーサ・ウォレットでもプーマペイのプル型決済ができるようになるかもしれません。

3. Summarize

私の所感ですが、暗号通貨が世間一般に広がるにはPumaPayが実現しようとしているような現状のプッシュ型決済ではなくプル型決済が広く広まる必要があるように感じます。

プッシュ型で取引所に送金して、そのSteemによって支払いを行う日本国での現状の決済手段ではレイトマジョリティ以降の層に浸透するのには致命的でもあります。PumaPayなどプル型決済が浸透し、steemでも決済ができるようになれば、また違う方向性が見出せるのではないかと考えています。
