Bitcoin & The Emerging Financial Technologies
Money Transfer Technology Issue:
Credit cards are prone to theft and identity fraud. China is doing most of its payments with cell phones these days.
This trend of people using their phone as a "remote controll" for the management of their lives is likely to continue indefinitely.
What this means is that we are well within the "age of information".
With this regards comes some interesting considerations:
How is information best managed - both on a personal/private level and on a public/comercial level?
What does this mean for the accounting of money/assets/debt-instruments?
How does blockchain/cryptocurrency play a role in the development and maturity of world markets?
How do we think about identity with regards to social contracts and legal status?
Is it possible the way we've regared identity and travel around the world is outdated and limited in best practiced management?
What does best practiced food and resource management mean for the world on both a micro and macro scale?
With easy connection to all corners of the globe with a cell phone - what creative potential exists for new collaborations to be formed that would have previously not been possible?
NFC technology is being experimented with in collaboration with the lightning payments network. The idea is to make transfers of cryptocurrency from device to device to be an absolutely instantaneous thing.
Cool stuff is sprouting all over the place in terms of technology and innovation. What questions emerge is what fascinates me the most...as it's like all of humanity is walking an awareness process about how things work here.
Questioning the very laws and orders we create as our best governance structures.
- What is particularly perhaps the most fascinating is the fact that we have global narratives emerging more and more about the functioning and governance of money....and so Life itself. It's really the heart of all politics. Locally...nationally ...and...internationally.
Go figure that a big part of the overall ethos within cryptocurrency is on individual financial responsibility.
Imagine future generations of children being educated to best manage the practice of living responsibility. This being an outflow of the basic regard for Life Accountability both individually and collectively here.
