Why I don't believe in the tokenization of everything
I have seen lately that the phrase tokenization of everything is something a lot of people talk about. In my humble opinion, it is not possible to have a token for everything. We already have thousands of coins and tokens and most of them promise to much and deliver nothing. And people don't like having so many different coins. I want to write a simple example. Imagine going out to buy a t-shirt with crypto. You look around on shops or websites an see prices like 0.00263769. And every tshirt you see has a different price. It would be impossible to determine the price without holding a phone or computer with internet access. Let say that after visiting 5-6 shops you return to the first one because you liked that t-shirt more. You go to pay only to discover that after 20 minutes you were away, the price is different. Again you would have to check it online and see if you can afford it.
Now imagine this process for everything you want to buy! You would go crazy and also spend a lot of time just checking prices. Also you should have with you a mobile wallet that would hold thousands of tokens. And people loose phones very often. This is a small example of what would happen but there are hundreds of reasons that tokenization of everything would not work.
The only way for it to work would be to have one token that most of the people would accept and it should have a stable price. I think cryptocurrencies are the future but we are decades away from mass adoption and I don't think we will see it in our lifetime.
