My portfolio. Part 1: XRP Ripple (ENG-ITA)

                      

Hi Steemians. I’d like to share my portfolio with you guys, the tokens/assets I have chosen and why, what are my strategies, targets etc.

One of the first crypto I was immediately interrested in, was Xrp Ripple, mainly because of the low price. I wanted to buy a lot of cheap coins with a low budget. But when I started my crypto journey, I was impatient, I was a short term investor, a trader. I changed my mind. Now I’m a buy and hold guy. Ripple is definetely a long position. It will sky rocket, keep on reading if you wanna find out why.

Even if Charlie Lee aka Satoshi lite, recently tweeted that xrp is not a cryptocurrency, because you can’t mine it, and it’s not enough decentralized, still it’s on coinmarketcap.com in the top 5 consistently since 2013. Ripple is the company name and the network, and xrp is the token or as ripple says it is a digital asset.

Xrp is usually perceived as the ennemy from the original crypto hard core comunity, because it’s addressed to a corporate and institutional customer base.

The main purpose of Ripple, is to allow banks and financial institutions to deploy huge amounts of money accross the network, in the fastest and at the most convenient price in a straight forward process. They are very consistent in doing that.  Ripple’s offices are located in San Francisco, New York, London, Sidney, Luxembourg and Mumbay.

They have over 90 customers including : Ubs, Santander,Unicredit, RBC, BBVA. The main sponsors and investors are: Accenture, Santander Innoventures, Google Ventures and Seagate.

Use cases

Besides the corporate use, there’s also the remittance business. We are in the field of Western Union and Ria and the battle didn’t even started.

The remittances are small amounts of money that migrants workers send back home, and according to the World Bank estimates, the market cap was 582 billion $ transferred by 232 milion workers. Remittances even if small amouts make the difference for the families and ultimately in the local economy.

 Technical specifications

The Ripple  network is:

• Robust: the code is open source
• Scalable: it performs 1500 transactions per second but in the future will reach 50000 transactions per second and compete with Visa (200,000)
• Preferred: technical superiority and scalability for corporations and banks.
• Decentralized: 55 milion validators worldwide and even more.

 Future predictions

The total market cap is 7,015,159,248 $, and the daily volume is 50,651,300 $ (coinmarketcap.com).

According to coincheckup.com, if the 2% of total money worldwide flows into the crypto market a single token could reach 2,50$ (now it cost 0,18$).

My strategy is very simple, I buy the dips (like last week), I hold at least 2 years-better 4 and strong hand!!

 Ciao ragazzi, volevo condividere con voi com’è composto il mio portfolio di cryptcocurrencies. Inizio la rassegna con Ripple che è la prima moneta che ho comprato. Motivo molto semplice: ne volevo tante a poco prezzo. All'inizio ho giocato a fare il trader perchè sono entrato sul mercato quando xrp si muoveva abbastanza,invece ora è molto stabile. Ho cambiato completamente mentalità da trader, a investitore. Credo molto in questo progetto che è ormai stabile ai vertici della classifica dal 2013. Iniziamo quindi se non vi ho già annoiati.

Utilizzi

 L’unica criptovaluta (anche se Charlie Lee dice che non è una cripto in realtà) non decentralizzata, e non minabile. Prima di tutto una precisazione, ripple è il network e il nome della compania, xrp è il token. Ripple è da sempre vista come il “nemico” dai puristi delle cripto, perchè rappresenta un utenza corporate (Grandi istituzioni finanziarie e banche).L’obbiettivo di Ripple è di permettere a banche e grandi gruppi finanziari di spostare grosse quantità di denaro, semplicemente,velocemente e a costi irrisori. Hanno già dimostrato di saperlo fare e anche molto bene. I loro uffici sono a San Francisco, New York, Londra, Sidney, Lussemburgo e Mumbay.

Hanno oltre 90 grossi clienti tra i quali: UBS,Santander,Unicredic,RBC,BBVA.

Gli investitori principali sono: Accenture,Santander Innoventures, Google Ventures, Seagate.

L’utilizzo concreto della moneta c’è quindi per questo tipo di utenza corporate, ma hanno intenzione quanto prima di proporre i loro servizi anche alla gente comune. Stò parlando del mercato delle rimesse.

Il mercato delle rimesse

Le rimesse sono i soldi che i lavoratori emigrati all’estero mandano tipicamente ogni mese alle loro famiglie. Si tratta di piccole somme che però nel paese di origine, fanno la differenza, e aiutano in maniera significativa l’economia locale. Secondo la banca mondiale nel 2015 il mercato delle rimasse valeva 582 milliardi di dollari e ha coinvolto 232 millioni di lavoratori migranti.

Specifiche tecniche

La rete Ripple è:

• Robusta: il codice sorgente è open source ed è continuamente curato da un team di ingegneri 24h/7.
• Scalabile: La rete regge già ora oltre 1500 transazioni al secondo, ma può arrivare tranquillamente a 50000 e quindi reggere il confronto con Visa (200,000).
• Istituzionale: la rete è progettata per le imprese
• La rete d’elezione: la superiorità tecnica ne fanno la rete di riferimento per banche e grandi gruppi finanziari.
• Decentralizzata: oltre 55 milioni di punti di conferma per le transazioni e ne nascono sempre di nuovi.
• Veloce: Una transazione avviene in 4 secondi 

Potenziale

La capitalizzazione è : 7,031,455,381 $ con uno scambio giornaliero di 53,380,000 $.Prezzo al momento che stò scrivendo: 0,15 € (dati coinmarketcap.com)

Secondo coincheckup.com. Se nel mercato delle criptovalute dovesse riversarsi il 2% dei soldi del mondo , il token costerebbe circa 2,50$ (oggi costa 0,18$).

La mia strategia è piuttosto banale: compro quando ci sono i crolli (tipo settimana scorsa, li ho presi a 14 centesimi) , aspetterò almeno 2 ma meglio 4 anni e avere mani non tremolanti!
