Calculating Cryptocurrencies Potential Rebound

Can we determine when the markets are going to stop falling?

In the past, with the help from @edje, I have determined how to Calculate "To The Moon" and have shown Scientific Proof that To The Moon Caused BitCoin Crash!.

Now that we know BitCoin had reached "To The Moon" and has started crashing down towards Earth due to anti-Moon and reality forces, we need to figure out how long BitCoin will continue to fall before starting to climb again. One of the ways to determine how far an object will go is by how much kinetic energy it is has created.

Kinetic Energy

is the energy of motion. An object that has motion - whether it is vertical or horizontal motion - has kinetic energy.
KE = 0.5 • m • v2
~ https://www.physicsclassroom.com/class/energy/Lesson-1/Kinetic-Energy

Where m is mass of the object in kilograms and v is the velocity in kilometers per second.

The standard metric unit of measurement for kinetic energy is the Joule. By using the Kinetic Energy formula, we get the following to determine the standard Joule measurement.

1 Joule = 1 kg • m2/s2

To expand on this, we can use this example; if a 55 kg woman is running with a velocity of 3.87m/s, the kinetic energy formula is:
KE = 0.5 x 55 x (sqr(3.87)) or KE = 0.5 x 55 x (14.97)
Her Kinetic Energy is 411.86475 Joules

To determine the kinetic energy of BitCoin, we need to determine how fast it is falling and it's mass. Since BitCoin is a digital currency, it is hard to determine how much mass it has, so we can only compare it by guessing how much it would weigh compared to other physical currencies.

Gold and Silver coins come in several weight measurements, but for this experiment, we will choose 1 Troy ounce. A Troy weight measurement is a standard used when determining the value of large amounts of precious metals.

1 Troy ounce = 0.0311035 kilograms

Since BitCoin reaches the moon at $15,000, we need to figure out how much it weighed at that point.

Today's Silver and Gold prices are

  • Gold Price Per 1 Ounce $1157.08 USD
  • Gold Price Per 1 Gram $40.81 USD
  • Silver Price Per 1 Ounce $15.16 USD
  • Silver Price Per 1 Kilogram $534.67 USD

BitCoin broke $15,000 on Dec 07, 2017. Silver and Gold prices on that date were:

  • Gold Price Per 1 Ounce $1,247.10 USD
  • Gold Price Per 1 Gram $40.10 USD
  • Silver Price Per 1 Ounce $15.73 USD
  • Silver Price Per 1 Gram $0.51 USD

It would seem, that back on December 07, 2017, BitCoin weighed close to 12 times an ounce of Gold or 0.37410994 grams.

I had a thought about converting it down further in order to figure 1 ounce of BitCoin would be the weight of 1 satoshi. But, since the price of BitCoin is based on a whole BitCoin, I am going to stay with 1 ounce is 1 coin.

Now that we have the per coin weight, we can easily determine the total weight of BitCoin. The maximum supply of BitCoin is 21,000,000, which would mean that it would give it a maximum weight of 7,856,308.63603560 grams / 7,856.30863604 kilograms. However, on December 07, there were only 16,728,825 coins in circulation at the time. So, the requires us to adjust the mass to 6,258,419.7170205 grams / 6,258.41971702 kilograms. The current supply of coins is 17,384,550, which would give us a mass of today of 6,503,732.957427 grams / 6,503.73295742.

That is a loss of 3,189.4 kilograms.

Now, we must figure out how fast it is falling. It wasn't until Dec 16, 2017 that BitCoin began falling back towards Earth, after failure to establish the anti-Moon position in orbit. Between noon on that day and noon today, there have been 29,289,600 seconds and BitCoin has fallen to $4,749.77 USD.

1 sAU x 0.01 = 15,000 is the distance to the moon

If we are determining distance "To The Moon" based on USD price of the coin, we can see that BitCoin has fallen $10,250.23 USD in 29,289,600 seconds, that means it has a velocity of 1.25986 km/hour or 0.0209977 km/minute or 0.00034995 km / second.

KE = 0.5 x 6,258.41971702 x (0.00034995) = 0.0000383219 Joules

Not much energy at all, here folks.

If we take the the 0.00002500 k/s2

However, if we look at the Potential Energy!

P.E. = mgh
Where mass is 6,258.41971702 kilograms and height is 15,000 and we leave the Gravitational acceleration at 1 g.

We get 920,611,975,769 Joules or 920,611.975769 Megajoules. According to the Oak Ridge Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio, It takes 17 Megajoules to mine 1 BitCoin. That's 54,153.64563347 Seconds of BitJoules, which is 0.62677083 days.

That means, BitCoin will stop falling down by 1 am U.S. Eastern time tomorrow.

You can stop panic selling now.

What a wonderful use of science and mathematics! Adding some quantum to it, results in the possibility to have some uncertainty about the actually result, meaning the 1am deadline for the end of the fall of Bitcoin, may not exactly 1am. The deviation allowed, is something we can either try and explain with mathematics, or we can take a different approach: wait and see. For how long we have to wait; That is another question again :)

Owww, you should have added steemstem tag, they reward undervalued science and math posts. Not sure how they are with math + humour though. Then again, for humour, next time get the comedyopenmic tag at the post and apply their rules (two referrals and some format of the title; you can check details in their weekly posts).

steemstem <-- will have to remember that if I do a follow up article. Thanks.

I have a few acres of Land on the moon. I am willing to sell for 10 Bitcoins.

Tuesday that the DOJ is looking into whether crypto exchange Bitfinex and Tether Ltd. have pushed bitcoin’s price up using the stablecoin.

Well... that's not going to be helpful.

in the long run it will be.
kinda like removing counterfeit money from circulation.
in the short run it's gonna suck

That's some good math right there.

Panic selling? No, i'm into panic buying!

Nice image addition.

it's logical

it is VERY logical! :)

There is music in Math Science and Bitcoin!

There is a techno-ambient song that would come up on SomaFM that had some say

mathematicians are as close or nearly as close to God as musicians

I probably need to find that song and where the quote came from.

Hahahaha, great quote! Interestingly, I'm neither, so I guess I'm further away from God then musicians and mathematicians. Ah well, life is what it is :)
