Social Media website Minds plans an ICO in first qtr of 2018
MINDS is another social media website that is a revolution away from the Fakebooks of the world.
Seeking to create a forum free of censorship that is also monetized they have taken it step further and have announced that in the first qtr of 2018 they will be releasing their own cryptocurrency
Will this be competition for Steemit?
I do not think so as Steemit has built a foundation for its tokens and MINDS is maybe just about to release theirs in a market that has bubble potential. How many ICOs are happening and how many of them will be around for the long-term? Releasing their coin now in a market that is likely going to be volatile will be problematic for them. Steem having already established itself has a more solid foundation to ride through up and downs of what is to come for crypto. Remember the dot-com bubble.
I wish the people of MINDS all the best for in truth I do not see them as competition. There is plenty of room for more than one opensource social media with its own cryptocurrency.
