Duke University Wants To Boost Blockchain Education Through Its Partnership With Citizens Reserve

According to online new reports Duke University wants to boost blockchain and cryptocurrency currency awareness.

They plan to do this by partnering with blockchain startup Citizens Reserve and establishment of a new lab and blockchain focused educational program.

Through this partnership Citizens Reserve will establish a new incubation lab on campus for students to work on blockchain projects, hose events related to the nascent industry and connect with other people who are interested in learning about the technology.

Citizen Reserve will also support the University’s effort in creating a blockchain curriculum for its students, provide access to real blockchain projects and introduction to blockchain experts.

Campel Harvey, a professor of finance at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business stresses the importance of collaboration with thought leaders in the blockchain industry and added that external collaboration provides opportunities for students to get hands on, industry relevant experience.

New Weiss Ratings Out With XRP, EOS and Bitcoin On The Top

The latest annual Weiss Rating has recently published XRP, EOS and Bitcoin as the top three cryptocurrencies on the market in terms of technology and adoption.

It also points out that the adoption of cryptocurrencies remains high despite lingering market condition which has been said to be amongst one of the longest to occur for the last decade or the entirety of the digital assets existence.

Best cryptocurrencies in terms of technology and adoption includes Ripple (XRP), EOS and Bicoin (BTC) respectively.

According to the report XRP is best positioned to compete with swift while EOS is the leading cryptocurrency challenging Ethereum in the Dapps space and Bitcoin would likely become the most popular store of value for savers and investors.

These cryptocurrencies are followed by Ethereum, Cardano, Steem, Neo, Zcash, Litecoin and Stellar.

Binance Is Partnering With IdentityMind For KYC and AML Compliance

Binance as recently announced its partnership with IdentityMind in which it aims to improve its platform’s know-your-custimer (KYC ) and anti-money laundering (AML) processers.

The new partnership hopes to foster greater trust among financial institutions worldwide.

IdentityMind is a risk management and regulation compliance platform which helps teams at cryptocurrency firms boost their risk management.

They provide AML solutions which employ machine learning and dynamic modeling to track and snuff out suspicious users.

Binance plans to take advantage of IdentityMind’s AML and KYC systems to strengthen it compliance capabilities and to improve the exchange’s security reputation.

It must be noted that Binance is one of the easiest platform to get into thanks to its less rigorous requirements in creating an account and begin trading.

With a string of partnerships that is widely seen as Binance’s effort to address KYC and AML concerns we might soon say good bye to KYC-less account creation in the future.

Blockchain Advertising Consortium Welcomes Hershey Chocolate Company

One of the U.S. leading food manufacturers, The Hershey Company has recently joined a blockchain–based consortium.

The company joned Adledger, a nonprofit consortium what was founded by IBM, Tegna and Madhive in 208 with the primary aim of developing a shared ledger technology for the digital advertising market.

Hershey is joined by Publicis Media and The Global Audience Based Buying Conference & Consultancy (GABBCON) in joining the aforementioned consortium.

The advertising industry lacks the necessary tools to accurate analyze data and processes within its ecosystem, with the advent of blockchain technology, members of the consortium is hoping to address this issue.

This is not the only advertising-centric project that is aiming to solve problems prevalent in the advertising industry, last October Toyota has partnered with blockchain advertising analytics firm to cut down on fraud when buying digital ads.

Ripple One Step Closer To Amazon

It seems that a new partnership has unintentionally put Ripple a little closer to Amazon to the delight of Ripple enthusiast in the cryptocurrency sphere.

It ha been reported that the online retail giant as recently partnered with the global processing company WorldPay in its efforts to make its Amazon Pay a much more widely available to merchants worldwide.

According to Amazon Pay Vice President Patrick Gautheir their partnership is part of their strategy to realize their vision of becoming a world leader in not only retail but in payments as well.

It must noted that WorldPay has been acquired by the US fintech company Fidelity National Information Services Inc (FIS) which are partners with Ripple.

In addition Amazon has been collaborating with an Indian bank, Axis which is part of Ripple’s network.

While many ripple fans has many reasons to celebrate about this developments only time will tell if Amazon will finally integrate Ripple into its blockchain network.
