Coinbase Custody Is Now Live

In their official website blog post, Coinbase has revealed that they have already accepted the first deposit for its Coinbase Custody, officially signaling the start of its services offering.

They stated that in the coming weeks they will start on-boarding different types of clients which includes cryptocurrency hedge funds, exchanges and ICO teams.

Coinbase Custody's main aim is to enable all eligible financial institutions and hedge funds in the world to have access to digital currency investment.

They plan to do this by becoming the world’s most trusted and easy-to-use crypto custody service.

Coinbase Custody is the combination of Coinbase’s cold storage for crypto assets, institutional-grade broker-dealer and reporting services, as well as its comprehensive client coverage programs.

BTCC Relaunching Cryptocurrency Exchange

BTCC has expressed relaunching its cryptocurrency exchange after it was closed 9 months ago due to regulations imposed by the Chinese government.

It was revealed that it will feature Crypto-to-fiat and Crypto-to-Crypto trading.

In addition to its revamp on trading features, the exchange also plans to introduce its own token that will be used to tokenize its rewards points.

It recently underwent a soft launch where BTC/USD pairs are being traded.

Speaking to an online news outlet, Aaron Choi revealed that Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin will also be added.

Depending on customer’s choice they will also be adding more cryptocurrencies as they move forward. BTCC has not revealed the exact dates when they will execute their plans for the exchange at press time.

Octagon Strategy Bullish On Bitcoin Amidst Bearish Sentiments

The digital asset broker Octagon Strategy has expressed optimism on Bitcoin despite its recent and persisting price decline in the market and other possible roadblocks that it might encounter in the future.

Ryan Rabaglia reveals in an interview with CNBC that there are a lot of things to look forward to in the Bitcoin market.

He said that Bitcoin is still in its “growth phase” as it is only 8 years old and has yielded 100% year over year.

He also believes that although regulations are bitter pills that we need to swallow and perhaps contribute to the current down trend pressure, it will also be the key for its revival as more professional and traditional players will enter the market.

A Group Of Thai Traditional Securities Firms To Launch Crypto Exchange

The Association of Securities Companies (ASCO), an organization that represents Thailand’s securities firms revealed that it is coordinating with Thai regulators about allowing established financial firms to offer digital asset exchange services, a local news outlet reported.

According to its Chairwoman, Pattera Dilokrungthirapop, several securities firm has already filed application with the SEC in preparation in the impending launch of the service.

The chairwoman expressed that these securities is better off uniting to build a single platform to reduce operating cost and collaborate to share innovative technology.

GMO Launches An Upgrade 7nm Bitcoin Miner

The Japanese internet giant, GMO, has revealed an upgraded version of their 7nm Bitcoin Miner.

This comes after their older version sold out in the market.

The new version is said to accomplish higher hash rates and will include power optimization features.

It is for sale at the same price as the previous model.

The new model will be called GMO miner B3, which is similar to its predecessor which supports SHA256 algorithm and can execute mining of bitcon and Bitcoin cash.

The B3 essentially offers all the functionalities of the previous model with higher hash rates and better power optimization at the same price point.

This includes daisy chain connections up to 32 units and online monitoring and update of software.
