💰 If You Would Get $1,000 Right Now, Which Two Coins Would You Spend it on And Why?💰

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago

The last two days are not bad and a welcome change in the bloody red crypto market of the last weeks. But what will happen in the upcoming months? What to do, what to do?

Imagine that in 5 minutes you will get an anonymous donation of $1,000. In the 10 minutes after that, you’ll have to invest that $1,000 into 2 other coins or tokens so you cannot think about it too long. If you don't use the money within 10 minutes, you need to give it back ;-)

Which coins or tokens would you choose and why?

I am curious what coins or tokens other people are watching and why. Personally I would probably strengthen the position of two coins I already have. Most likely it would be Neo and Nebulas at this point. Neo got hit pretty hard in the last few weeks with all that FUD and Nebulas is still very much under the radar, while they have a great team and interesting project.

Inspire me and others. Please share your thoughts!

Sort:

I recently bought ~$1000 worth of RVN (RavenCoin), low market cap and fomo due to Overstocks CEO interest. I can afford to lose the $1000 so it is more of a lottery ticket to me. If RVN grows in interest like some of the top cryptos then I will be sitting pretty. However like all of my crypto investments I only buy what I can afford to lose.

Always to have at least one exciting long shot that might just work! :-)

Which other coin would you pick?

Interesting picks, I don't have any of them :-P I did have ANT for a little while last summer but decided to sell them..

ETH and LTC. Im bullish on LTC developing a strong use case for ecommerce and has the industry connections to drive adoption. Wishful thinking, but i think the dev team has some solid expertise in business as well. Good code is only half the battle. You need good marketing too in order to get traction.

Some solid ones there!

I will go for bitcoin cash and ethereum.

Bitcoin cash is a bitcoin classic hard fork which improves the speed it takes to confirm a transaction. Bitcoin cash also has increasing supporters and though it is not as decentralized as bitcoin, it has less dictatorship. Just like bitcoin classic it has supply limit of 21 million.

Ethereum is innovative and I believe it's smart contract concept and very supportive team will make it last long. It might even surpass bitcoin in market cap.

Thanks for your comment @bizy!

I would be going for Steemit and Neo.
Neo because it is heavily undervalued and has the backing if the Chinese government.
Steemit, to increase my steempower and to increase my daily crypto related daily income. Mhh also is valid for Neo, with the GAS payments.

If I didn't have time to decide how that would help my short and midterm gains, I would probably stick 50% into my HODL portfolio, and 50% into the trading/short term gain platform. So:

  • Core portfolio - 50% BTC, 50% ETH
  • Short term - 33% EOS, 33% LTC, 33% Bitshares

If I had a day to deliberate and antagonize over details, might change but that is my impulse gut shot at this minute.

I would buy Kucoin Shares and Neo, I'm not convinced about how relevant Nebulas will be when and if they deliver

Kucoin Shares indeed got hit insanely hard as well, on the other hand those were pumped in Dec and Jan like crazy. Nebulas should release mainnet indeed and we'll see if they can deliver. Interesting to see all the use cases for search and analytics overarching all blockchains though :-)

50% Bitcoin for margin trade
50% ETH because it will go back at high quote soon

For sure EOS and Steem. The two most promising blockchains on the planet! By mid year they will go through the roof.

I am very curious about the EOS release. I hope Dan underpromised and overdelivers!

I'm new here, I want to know as well. Thank you for posting.

Always good to have enthusiastic new people here. Which might you be interested in?
