One more Crypto Exchange Hacked - 30 Million USD stolen
South Korean cryptocurrency exchange was hacked and hackers have managed to steal 35 Billion KRW in Cryptos. That is around 30 Million USD. Bithumb will cover all to its customers. Here is Bithumb official statement:
Bithumb has behaved seriously and responsibly in this situation and we can see how Crypto exchange users should be protected.
Bad thing is that this hack again pulled back Bitcoin price. Not much, but from yesterday's 6750USD to today's 6500USD. Bitcoin can't find breather lately and it look like any small negative thing is pulling back BTC price.
This crypto exchange hacks are normal and they will always be there. People should be very careful how they protect their data but there is almost no 100% safe online data protection.
This hacks are happening to every business on the internet but because of ongoing media Crypto FUD, we hear mostly about hacks connected to Crypto space. This FUDs are slowing down BTC price but BTC development is undisturbed and BTC fundamentals are better than ever.

Really, thats what a good exchange does. I am so happy that i am member of it. And so sad for them. And i dont know what to say to hackers. Well, they did a great job :D in the world where people are trying to make bucks, they snapshot a whale
It's so frustrating that another exchange has been hacked. Not good for crypto business. It will shatter the trust of investor. Only the goo outcomes from the news is that Bithumb is caring about their customers. That should be the behavior of exchange. But we need some decent security to avoid these acts @cicbar

It is natural for the exchanges to pay back the customers after a hack. It's their job to ensure safety for customers assets. Off topic they really make a lot of money with these fees. Only I have paid hundreds of dollar in fees for my shitty trading strategies and I'm a microscopic piece of plankton.

This affected the market rightaway. However, I have read some news that Bithumb had transferred money to their cold wallet some months ago. So not sure about the creditability of this news?
