COTTON COIN TRANSFORMATION IN THE COTTON INDUSTRY
Mr Emmanuel is a hard-working and dedicated cotton farmer who lives in a remote village. His location was quite a long distance from the urban areas which made it difficult to connect with buyers. The situation of location barrier, made him vulnerable to prospects when he went to town in search of buyers who took advantage(unfair treatment) of him by paying peanuts(unfair payment) for the cotton Produce and some times, he is pressurized to gives his goods on credit for fear of loosing the few customers he has. It is obvious he is not happy with the way his business is going. There is nothing to show for his hardwork and efforts. He is not only been owed but maltreated by exploitive buyers who are not concerned how he survives.
All these challenges would come to an end with the creation of cotton coin, a decentralized blockchain that enables pair to pair transaction between sellers and buyers of cotton. Bringing together consumers, sellers and authorities to one platform for easy and transparent transactions. We can see in the above story that Mr Emmanuel is faced with two(2) major challenges:
Location barrier which cotton coin helps to bridge the gap between farmers and buyers of cotton by integrating them all in one platform for easy reach and accessibility.
Lack/delayed payment on the part of they buyer which cotton coin ensures an instant pay for transactions made.
BRIEF INTRODUCTION
The importance of farmers in the world cannot be be overemphasized. Without them our existence would be incomplete. Most especially, cotton farmers who through their produce(cotton), clothings are manufactured. Most underwears, shirts, trousers and socks are made out of cotton. But it will surprise most of us who are neither farmers or have an idea of cotton crop of the long nurturing this crop needs to survive and do well. A good description is the content of water and chemical dependency this crop has. Just 1kg of cotton can consume over 20,000 liters of water which is equivalent to a pair of trousers; this clearly shows how capital intensive the cotton crop can be.
But it will shock you of the rate of sucide amongst cotton farmers mostly in the third world countries. Over 300,000 white gold farmers in countries like India have taken their lives mostly by drinking Mascanto which is a very potent pesticide. This is as a result of indebtedness and hopelessness which are the two main causes of sucide as confirmed by a study carried out by the International food policy. Other reasons are; non or delayed payments, lack of reliable credit, change in the government policies, lack of government support, poor quality cotton and insect resistance to pesticides.
These has caused anxiety, depression and fear amongst farmers which has made suicide their last resort. However, the good news is that cotton coin sponsored by cotton coin technology has come to salvage the heartbreaking situation. It is a decentralized blockchain that integrates consumers, suppliers and authorities, all in one ecosystem. Here, suppliers and buyers of cotton can transact one on one without any third party. Cotton coin, an alternative to Fiat money is paid immediately after and any transaction.
Cotton coin is trying to bring back trust between farmers of Cotton and consumers by fighting against corruption, unfair treatment such as, not paying for goods or not delivering goods that have been paid for at the appointed time. All these the hope to achieve through a front-end B2B dApp built to authenticate cotton sources(sources of cotton can be traced in case of any eventualities that might require the buyer to ask for a change, replacement of cotton), monitor cotton prices(this will help in transparency of prices) and track delivery. Also, B2C enables consumers purchase cotton directly from sellers. By so doing, they escape the outrageous prices of middle men.

HOW COTTON COIN WOULD TRANSFORM THE COTTON INDUSTRY
The cotton coin is indeed one of it's kind. it would greatly help farmers most especially in the third world country. It ensures a correct and instant pay in a timely manner with the help of masternodes which secures the blockchain and make transaction instant. Also with it's unique feature of decentralized blockchain, transaction can be done one on one which enables pair-to-pair network, free of central control. These development will improve and encourage fair, smooth and transparent transaction in the cotton industry.
AIMS
One major aim of cotton coin is to provide humanitarian services that ensures to save they lives of farmers by providing them a platform that would enable fairness and transparency in every ramification of business.
Others are:
👉To improve distribution of cotton and
👉Fight against corruption.
Cotton coin is faced with a goal of building a strong self sustainable business for cotton farmers.

Dear @celineaugustinee
That was a long week and I definitely did not expect this contest to become so popular. I expected 15-20 reviews about Cotton Coin but ended up with almost 60 entries. Crazy but positive :)
Let me already express how personally grateful I am for your support. This has been my first sponsored contest and I can safely say that I have already gained and learned so much of valuable knowledge from it.
Regardless if you will be one of the awarded winners or not - I want you to know that I will do my best to check your profile every few days and support all quality content related to blockchain, AI, human psychology or crypto (as those are my main topic of passion).
IMPORTANT:
I have almost 60 reviews to go through and I want to personally read each one. It might take me some time but I will definitely reply to any of your comments.
Also: Im looking for few judges who would help me select some of the best reviews submitted. Please visit my latest post (contest update) for more details.
Obviously upvoted :)
All the best, Piotr
Hi @crypto.piotr
I'm so grateful for your response. Sixty(60) enteries is much for just one person to go through and judge fairly. Also, I don't know how fair it will be for partipants to become judges because they might be a little bit bias when it comes to selecting the best and most deserved winners.
Finally, I want to say that in as much as everyone is desirous to win, I joined this contest to learn something about cotton and fulfill my promise of submitting an entry which I'm glad I did. Thanks for your continuous support, I'm grateful.
I love to see how responsive you are @celineaugustinee.
Steemit need people like you!
Cheers, Piotr

Kind words from a deceent Lady
I think it a pleasure getting to meet you @celineaugustinee.........
This contest to me is more of a get together than a competition.
What is the situation of cotton industry like in your country?
Hi @maxiemoses-eu. First of all thanks for stopping by at my blog and secondly, sorry for the late response.
I am a Nigerian. The cotton industry here isn't doing well. I will say it is stagnant as result of less attention given to it by the government. There is no effort or support to improve the industry. Cotton farmers have challenges of low yields due to bad seeds which is a loss on their end and my country do more of importing of cotton wares than patronizing their own which discourages most farmers to continue with the industry. How can they continue in a business that will not be beneficial to them? It's really tough! How about yours?
in time I might meet you in preson
Lol. I see. Hope to see you too. Thanks.
lol.................. your welcome
