My List Of Cryptocurrency Biggest Gainers And Losers In The Last 9 Months
About two years ago I started to record quarterly the rates of some crypto coins I was interested in. At the very beginning, it was only the main few like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin, but through time I added to my list some other coins too which overall performance interest me.

It happened to be that my first quarter record has been made on 22nd of the particular month, so I kept noting down the currency rates every three months at the same date.
Comparisons were made on the base if I would invest $100 US in particular coin at the beginning of one quarter how much it would worth at the end of that quarter or at the end of the following one and so on.
So, here are the results for the past 9 months. As the starting investment date is taken June 22, 2017, while the end date is March 22, 2018.
(Please note, that the current state might be different due to rate changes in the past two weeks.)

EOS is definitively my personal biggest pleasant surprise, while BitShares and STEEM are my biggest unpleasant surprises.
As most of the cryptocurrencies plummeted in the same period and many are still in that downward direction, it would be interesting to see what the results would look like at the end of the following quarter (for me at June 22, 2018).

However, my intention is to HOLD at least until I wouldn't be 100% positive which coin is the "ZZZ coin!"

U u u, that is some very positive information about Litecoin, the others too of course, but since I am dealing with LTC it makes me happy to see that I chose the right one. I have done some reading but not to that extent as you did and I see a big future for LTC. Steem? Hmmm, yeah, it has a great potential so I am not sure why it is not doing better.
All the currency may perform differently depending which time frame you take into consideration. As long as I'm recording this data Litecoin showed quite increase, although I wouldn't say it's the biggest gainer. On the other hand, you never know when those "biggest performers" would drop down.
Just one of my experiences...
About 2 years ago I won some lottery or something with 168 LTC. At that time LTC was worth around $4 or even less. Of course, I needed that money and I withdrawed it. Only a small portion I left to invest in something else.
Just a few months later it jumped to about $70 or $80. Do I have to tell you how stupid I felt??? 😉🙂 Not to mention this past mid of December when it was over $300 (before it dropped to the current rate).
But there is no use of crying over own faith and stupidity as from current perspective it's all just a long ago spilled milk. At least I think, I learned something from that.
And that's why I don't want to even bother myself with Steem ups and downs. For now, I'm just trying to collect them as much as I can! Maybe I'll change my mind tomorrow, but today it is as it is. 😉🙂
Yeah, if you do not need it, keep it and hold, but if you need it, fu*k it you will have to pull it out. Let us cross our fingers and hope we do not need it and do not have any emergencies so we can hold hold hold and wait until it reaches 300 again... I have read some predictions that LTC will raise up to 1000 in 2019. H O L D :)

Anyway, I behave now like I don't have anything in any currency and in every I can, I just collect and collect in a manner - What is withdrawing?! 😜🙂

Me too, I look like as the real looser, after I ask my doughter who don't know exzactly what is cryptocurrency. I ask her to invest the money and she found the number counting down. I explain nothing, it such giving answer for no question while she don't talk to me during the coin values down.. oh God..

Thank you for the share of information on the crypto market... Honestly you should develop an analysis site so we can come visiting to view the market cap... with the litttle i have earned and the little i know of the crypto... i believe i will be doing sdame as you just HODLing and saving also
Against the profits the losses are negligible so quite a win-win. I am not invested into many, but against the invested amount I have good returns on each one, though the current market has decreased the value but still in +ve so happy :-)
