Buying steem with fiat = Exchanges.
Lets get steemin (drunk) nope, tokens! yes.
Having dealt in cryptos for 4 or 5 years without exchanges, just dealing one on one with people, even down to sending motorbikes or bike parts back to the UK in exchange for cryptos direct to my nano s, I have managed to miss out the middle men, and have a healthy stock of btc, doge coin, miota, litedoge and xrp (ripple) all of which I aim to keep (for now). (to cut out paypal)
Now I have had a few fits on here(not half) and feel the need to buy some steem for fiat to up my stake, and reward the few who stuck by me with better upvotes than a naff all 1c, here is the list of exchanges I am currently signed up to, the first two I am verified on, the third I only signed up to tonight because it apparently accepts £'s. (and has steem on it)
Bittrex
coinbase
Binance.
Let me tell you why I would like to know which you use (exchange) as coinbase charges 20 euro to buy any currency, at the moment, if I buy 100 steem, it effectively costs me 20 extra steem or there about, so 20%.
I have not tried a trade yet on Binance as it is my first night, and before trading on it, I wanted to ask you guys/gals what you use, that has low fees, keep in mind, I have to be able to use £ or face a second charge over and above lets say coinbases 20 euro, the second charge is made by my bank for overseas transaction and using a different currency so two charges in 1 from the bank alone.
Bittrex to my knowledge does not accept fiat, I just looked as I write this to make sure, and I see no link.
I want to take it nice and steady and buy 100 steem or so at a time, as it is locked up for 13 weeks and that makes me a little nervous (I know I know grow a pair)
So over to you, who do you use and why? what are the pros and cons, also fees?
Having had my bank frozen a few weeks back on a bs fraud alert (proven incorrect) I want to get more cash away from the banksters, and crypto is part of my idea, I have a gold bullion account ( Iamstan :-) ) though want to further diversify, I aim to leave cryptos on as many exchanges as possible, so the (w) bankers (change the b to a w) can never do that to me again, sure I have a collection of motorbikes as my get out of jail card, I want some more get outs.
Any advice greatly appreciated, you know more than I at the end of the day, I feel like a exchange virgin now, so must start wearing white. :-).........................
Thank you kindly in advance.
Added bonus video, so you can not say I am not giving you value for money with my 10 cent post :-)
To begin with, the first thing you need when you're dealing with exchanges is a good lube because they're going to fuck you. That's the bottom line.
Nuff from him, this is the wife now (lovenfreedom) who handles the bulloney with exchanges, who has to grow an invisible pair every time I deal with exchanges.
Verdict = Pardon me sir but you're screwed.
You need a USD account to trade and that's still not easy. But maybe some of the guys can help you other than my one sentence verdict.
What I do though:
sounds easy but I'm sweating just talking about it
Bittrex is only USD
Binance doesn't accept fiat
But you can use Bitfinex to deposit into Binance.
But Bitfinex only deals with USD and EURO
It is all grim looking when you're dealing with banksters. And having to deal with crypto banksters is another level of bullshit.
Lol I gave up for tonight, I did manage to buy +0.00969105 BTC on coinbase, only for them to say via email this =
Even a little tester amount and it went out the door, hence I will have another go tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice. :-)
You could always use Coinbase Pro (aka Gdax). That's what I use. There's still a fee, but the fee is much smaller. Like, much, much smaller.
Then, I just move stuff to Binance immediately to avoid huge fluctuation in prices and just buy the Steem from there.
Cheers for the info, I will give that a go over the weekend, many thanks.
Sorry mate i can't be of much help with this. As i was useing and Australian company to have part of my pay from work put in to buy BTC. Then i just bought steem with some of that BTC.
Wow, you would not find a company in the UK doing that, good on them, and it seems for now I am stuck with coinbase, though after last nights attempt, they are not very good at accepting money, either that or my bank has blacklisted them, I will try to find an exchange here in the east.
I had a problem with a bank stopping a transaction once when i tried to buy BTC :(
@shepz1 maybe something will change
nice post. upvote

I'm giving you one warning.
Stop with the spam or I'm flagging all your spam comments from here on. @steemflagrewards
Wololo!
You have been healed due to unrighteous flags by someone that obviously doesn't understand how blockchain moderation is helpful to the platform.

Thanks Randohealer. That is a great project you have there!
Not sure if you are going to be reasonable or not but I would like to try unpacking your statement in this context.
I believe the "no justice no peace" line is an indictment about law enforcement, the many abuses of power and failure to serve justice. I agree with that statement to an extent; however, the blanket "fuck the police" statement is something I disagree with as their are good police officers out there that have a heart of service and try to maintain justice.
Any in case, @iamstan, nor myself, or any member that engages in Steem Blockchain moderation is the police in the sense the meme would typically convey. Policing the blockchain, encouraging good behavior, and discouraging bad is everybody's responsibility to their stake whereas law enforcement is more centralized in nature.
Some of us do possess hearts for service as well so it extends further than our own stake but that of others and our shared interest in the success of the platform.
With that being said, I find the usage of your meme to be inappropriate as well as the flag you employed against my friend.
I ask that you reconsider the course you have taken and welcome discussion on the @steemflagrewards discord if you would like to discuss or debate. I'm game for either.
Last caveat: Do not mistake our kindness for weakness. We will take appropriate recourse if we notice you continuing to flag unrighteously. I would prefer it not come to that so I hope you will heed my advice.

You're not needed here. Please find a job somewhere else ;)
Let me elaborate. Lols.
Encouraging any kind of behaviour goes against every single anarchist principle that exists. With that being said, your entire group of seedlings encourages the only negative behaviour this blockchain can produce. You encourage flagging.
I would be happy to just troll along, without using my rented steem power to flag. But you guys encourage it. So reward me, bitch!
Oh and BTW. I only join the cool discord servers. If you ever want a way out of this trap of endless negativity that you made steemit become, feel free to find me.
OH AND I'LL MAKE A POST SPECIALLY FOR YOU SO YOU AND ALL THE WANNAFEELIMPORTANTWEIRDOS CAN TRY TO FLAG IT.
Name one anarchist principle that "encouraging behavior" goes against. If you own yourself, you have the right to advocate for your interests, and to argue against that would be a self-detonating statement.
I'd like to encourage more lewd behavior, if possible.
We both know that "encouraging behaviour" is simply an acronym used to dismiss the fact that we are being told how to behave based on the opinion of some ego driven individuals trying to control something that isn't meant to be controlled.
You're pretend policing the blockchain with SPAM, you're using VAS services to get your own way.
@stephanus is right, you're not needed, or welcome in an anarcho capitalistic environment, go find somewhere else to aggrandize your toxicity.
Stop telling people what to do, you are wrong.
The SFR bot comments being spam is cockamamie notion.
First of all, the mechanism is opt in as the comments must be approved in discord and include the @steemflagrewards mention and there is a check for proof of flag.
Our bot doesn't go leaving arbitrary comments for no damn reason. Each comment is the result of deliberate action by a human that wants to use our service.
Nobody is putting a gun to their head and that should mesh finely with your anarchist principles, right? Would not your attempts to coerce us into following a course contrary to our own actually conflict with this ideology?
Do you agree with @stephanus principle that you ought not to encourage any type of behavior? What would you call what you are doing then? Is it not exactly what you are charging others of doing?
How are you not being a hypocrite?

I see you're abusing @r0nd0n's freezepeach bot.
I'll be sure to notify of the abuse, its intended to increase freedom of speech, not give you the right to impose on other peoples freedoms.
reduced the rewards for this comment, because I don't think the idea was to make money out of it... hope you don't mind.
