Earth Custodians regard cryptocurrencies as no better than fiat money and precious metals, as the latest trendy  mania determines value itself. Value ends up crashing down because people expect to take more out than what they put in. Most are losing their shirts therefore. 

But further, let's imagine that the crypo-mania has way to go and ends up financing the extinction of the human race and the rise of the godly cyborgs, who will most likely reign on a near destroyed planet as billions of humans will have died in armed conflicts in the meantime. 

Financing armies' cyborgs and other AI weaponry is the absolute evidence that following money , the carrot and the stick, has to be stopped.  If this sounds too doomsday for you, even without war at all but some kind of hunger-games-like society as UBI will be  far from enough to allow people upgrading themselves. Although 70% of people are ready to ugrade themselves for the sake of competition, there still won't  enough jobs. Especially if the type of upgrade is determined by the income.  Getting into debt to become a top cyborg??? UBI supporters are all about selling freedom and the ability to contemplate life without too many worries, but in such an environment, reality will most likely be completely different. It would be kind of child-like to assume that a rosy scenario awaits mankind when seeing so many rushing into the new crypto-Eldorado while  completely ignoring the AI and cyborgs menace that is lurking and will receive a incredible boost from cryptocurrencies... unless a cyber 911 plays out, which actually could happen at any time. AI is not yet deemed "strong" but its current abilities can surely help disappear 10s of trillions in a fraction of a second
