It is kind of incredible that many people think that AI will bring about peace, prosperity and immortality to those ready to plugged themselves into the Hive Mind while many governments ready themselves for perpetual warfare.
If you want a peaceful AI... keep your eyes on the ball rolling! You are being taken for a ride. The Powers-that-be would rather burn down the entire planet rather than facing trials for the unsustainable frameworks they have created to consolidate wealth for themselves --- with people consent in the end because they couldn't think for themselves.
