Todays blockchain focuses primarily on financial transactions. The first cryptocurrency was created after the financial crisis of 2008 when some banks did not permit its customers from withdrawing funds. People saw around the world that they were not truly in control of their finances. That a bank at any time if it found itself in a crisis could take peoples funds. This made people realize that their money was not truly theirs. People found out that they could not trust banks.

The response to this insecurity was Bitcoin. The idea was to give people control over their finances eliminating the risks experienced by people in the 2008 crisis. Bitcoin would be controlled by the people for the people using a decentralized network of computers working together to secure the ledger.

The way the network is secured is each computer keeps a copy of the ledger and updates it simultaneously. Multiple copies of the ledger prevent corruption. The ledger is updated by other computers whose single task is to add transactions onto the ledger. The transactions that are added to the ledger are encrypted using a number of algorithms depending on the cryptocurrency but for bitcoin it is SHA-256. The encryption secures the network from attacks. The transactions are grouped together into blocks that once they are added to the ledger can never be changed.

This technology has changed the face of finance forever for it has created a new digital market. Cryptocurrencies have built a new internet infrastructure. People were inspired by Bitcoin and created Ether which expanded on the use of cryptocurrency from simply being currency to being a immutable contract among people. There are many cryptocurrencies but none have ever focused on the medical sector.

Medibloc has launched an ICO in order to raise funds to build their own medical blockchain. Mediblocs goal is to organize & give patients control over their medical data.

Mediblocs also allows the data holder to authorize family members to access the data for any emergency were the patient finds themselves incapacitated. This is highly useful for doctors need all the information they can get during an emergency.

Currently when a person goes to the doctor and is referred to a specialist they often must retake the exact same exams that had been performed by the previous doctor. The time the doctor is using to retake test could be used to perform other test that could isolate the problem with the patient. It is also very expensive for the patient. When a person is traveling and requires medical assistance there is not only a language barrier but a data barrier as well. This can make it difficult for the person to receive the proper medical treatment.

Medibloc users will also be able to receive live help from anywhere in the world from their doctor making travel far more secure. A social network will be created where people who are fighting the same diseases can find strength in each other and doctors will be able to interact with multiple patients in a whole new more intimate way.

Medibloc will build a core program that will encrypt the medical records and give the person their own private key. This is far better than a centralized medical record which is far more vulnerable to hacks.

Medibloc is also creating an app in order to access Medibloc Core. Developers will be able to to build on the Medibloc Platform in order to develop applications.

Three kinds of accounts are available which are the Medical Researchers and Dev, Health Care Providers, and Users. People will have the option of giving access to medical researchers in order to advance treatment technology. The current way that medical data is kept is highly problematic. There are not only doctors that still keep stacks of paper records but even if they do keep digital records it is so much data that it can be hard to keep track of it all. Medibloc creates a system which organizes the medical data into a more organized format. Normally when a medical researcher has access to data there is so much of it that they might miss key information. With Medibloc they will have a search engine powered by blockchain technology. This will give medical researchers the ability to mine the data making them far more effective.

With Medibloc people will be able to know quickly what diseases are covered by their insurance provider. This will eliminate the need to waist time going to the insurance office or having to constantly call them to see if you are covered. Medibloc also has automatic billing which will make it easier to submit claims.

Medibloc will also revolutionize the AI sector by providing the best access to information. Currently AI is hindered since each AI is built by feeding it a finite amount of information do to the limitations of the programmers computer systems. With blockchain technology the AI will have access to higher volumes of information which will progress the sector at a far faster rate.

Medibloc has also partnered with major corporations insuring that once the mainnet is launched it will be implemented for use by medical professionals.
