What Is EOS Coin? Should You Buy?
Hey guys, it's the voice of the blochchain here, Satoshi's big cousin, cryptography's finest, Champagne Crypto, thanks for tuning in.
Today I want to talk about about EOS token. EOS's ICO raised a record $150 million in just 5 days. EOS made it's debut on the Bitfinex exchange today pumping its price over 200% in a few hours. Now many crypto maniacs are asking: Should you buy EOS?
EOS appears to be a direct competitor to Ethereum. Headed by Dan Larimer the founder of two successful crypto coins STEEM and Bitshares, EOS is promising to be a new blockchain operating system faster and more scalable than Ethereum that will allows users to build decentralized applications more efficiently.
EOS idea show promise but without a solid community foundation regularly using the coin its too early too predict what will happen in the long term. At the moment I expect EOS to continued to be pumped and dumped which could provide some short term opportunities.
I tend to not buy when the market is green. If I were to buy EOS I would wait until the next 23 hour ICO and buy directly from the source. Please keep in mind I'm not an investor or giving investment advice. This is my opinion. What do you think? HAve you bought EOS? Leave a comment below.

Great blog - Missed the initial boat with EOS.
You called it well - EOS price has dropped since last night.
Contemplating to buy in - I would definitely buy through the coin offering rather than a exchange.
Do you or anyone else know if I was to buy now would I get the same amount of EOS coins as I would of a week ago?
It's not headed by Dan of Steem, it is headed by some kid whose most successful business was an MMORPG marketplace. Lots of big claims coming out of this team yet not at all transparent with their team members, backgrounds, etc. which was an immediate pass for me

Same here. Once the FOMO investors have their bellies full of EOS, the hype will go down...but the supply will still be there.
Why do you want to wait
Because the distribution is going to last a year and everyone is losing their minds over the hype. I'd rather jump in several months down the line when inflation has hit the marketcap hard.

Hi mate, just one info I found on their website : "The EOS Tokens do not have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features, express or implied, including, without limitation, any uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features on the EOS Platform."
So it looks quite different from Ethereum since in ETH is used to do every computations a smart contract is asking.
I don't see the EOS token intrinsic value.
After reading what you just quoted from their website, I'm now wondering what would be the added value on EOS over ETH
Not to be hella late, but this is because the blockchain isn't running yet. EOS tokens just placeholders.
I just grabbed a few this morning. We'll see how it goes!

I went with Kraken
Was ready to buy until they block US IPs on buy day, I have lost interest now.
it was totaly crazy today, when whole scene was growing from 1 to 5% and eos was 300% higher than yesterday, that is why I went and bought a few of IOS on Kraken just to keep them in my mind. The story behind it is awesome too, but I was afraid that it might be pumped, so we will see about it.
