BREAKING: Bitpay & CoPay Wallet Just Implemented Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash Exchanges via ShapeShift API
ShapeShift has just announced their newest partnership!
-- Bitpay, the first and most experienced company in bitcoin payments, has integrated with the free, open-source ShapeShift API to provide users of their Bitpay and Copay wallet the ability to exchange between Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
Prior to the ShapeShift integration, Bitpay and Copay Wallet customers could only hold Bitcoin.
I have written about ShapeShift many many times here, even recently again last week giving an overview to new Crypto folks.
Now ShapeShift's popular service for exchanging, or "shifting" between cryptocurrencies is available in the BitPay and Copay wallets by default. Copay customers will now be able to exchange Bitcoin Cash for Bitcoin or Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash wherever and whenever they would like.
Prefer to hodl just one currency? Want to balance your holdings in both? No problem. Customers needing more Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash for a payment can quickly trade for the currency type needed.

Bitcoin Cash is getting serious traction now. I think the LN is interesting, but I'm not sure how many people will be willing to lock up funds in these payment channels, or if there will be enough hubs to route payments globally.
LN will take time to establish itself on the mainnet, and there are already other cryptos like LTC that are being used for day-to-day need due to speed of confirmations and lower fees.
You always make good comments, I have noticed.
