Number Book made in Felt. Step by Step

in #creativity6 years ago (edited)

Hello my beloved steemit community, today I'm going to show you how to make a Number Book made of felt with which you can teach your children the numbers also shapes, geometric figures and colors. I hope you like it, can elaborate it and get the most out of it when stimulating the learning of the little ones in the house

Materiales

• Felt colors
• Scissors
• Needle
• Thread
• Rule
• Buttons
• Pencil
• Paperboard.

Let's make the Numbers

Draw the numbers from 0 to 9 on a sheet of paper, you can trace it from the computer, if you know how to draw much better, then cut them out to make some cardboard templates, in this way it will be easier to elaborate them on the felt, the image shows the complete process.

Make the Pages of the Book

To make the sheets we will need to measure the felt 15cm wide by 15cm high, then cut it out, each sheet of different color

The cover

To make the cover we need to draw, cut and paste the letters (To count) with different colors, in addition to it we need a star, (this one was made in green felt) and on the left end buttons were paid green and white.

The First Sheet of the Book

The first sheet contains the number 1, in this we will place a star of two colors, blue and yellow, which we will make with a template drawn or printed on the computer.

Second Leaf Flowers

The second leaf contains the number 2 and two flowers of green and yellow colors, we will need a template of petals, two circles one a little bigger than the other (for this I used the measure of a cap of soda and a medicine meter), finally a button. We will form it by placing each figure in the position as it appears in the image.

Third Leaf Butterflies

The third leaf contains the number 3 and three butterflies, we will need six small circles, three thin strips of green approximately two centimeters and six bands for the antennas. See the example in the image.

Umbrella on the Fourth Leaf

In sheet number four we are going to place umbrellas, the upper part is made with any circular figure in the middle, with three waves and the lower part is similar to letter (j), so we will form the umbrella.

Ties on the Fifth Leaf

To obtain the ties, we draw and cut a light blue trapeze for the upper part and a navy blue pentagon on the lower part, as shown in the image.

The Hearts of Page Six

We draw and cut the number six and we need a heart template that we draw on the felt to cut out.

Circles on Page Seven

We do feel light blue circles and seven others of a smaller size navy blue.

Pines of Page Eight

To make the pines we need eight triangles, in this case with yellow felt and eight small green squares.

Sweets on Page Nine

For candies we will need for the central part nine ovals with fuchsia felt and for the eighteen squares ends with waves on one side of green felt.

Ice Cream of Page Ten

We made a figure very similar to a cloud for the upper part, in this case the color used was yellow and for the lower part the shape of a fuchsia colored glass.

Here the result of all the pages completed

We proceed to cook the pages each one on its back and ready

All the photographs were taken by me, the frames are from the pizap application
The separator was made by me, the balloons that I used can be found here

The Rainbow that I used to point out the steps you find here

I hope you like it

Hello @odalysrivero and welcome to #NeedleworkMonday! Every Monday we get together and share our creations, tips, patterns, ideas and shortcuts. We love seeing a project come to life so I really appreciate you sharing your process pictures! You did a wonderful job on your felt number book, I love the bright colors you used. Thank you for giving us instructions on how to make one. I love all of the step by step pictures! I look forward to seeing more of you work! 😊

Hello @crosheille Thank you very much for those words that praise my work, I feel happy when I do something that they like. A hug

You’re very welcome~ 🤗

@crosheille where do you meet please, I would also like to share with you

We meet right here on Steemit and you are already apart of that by using the #NeedleWorkMonday tag. By using the tag we are able to find each other’s posts, read and support them. 😊 Hopefully you’ll take the time to get to know the other needleworkers and see their work!

Thank you very much and of course, from now on I will accompany you

Thank you very much @slothicorn, your vote motivates me to do better
