BEWARE THE MIRE: A Beautiful Soul Emerging. Pond of Abundance. Ephemeral Art. Photography.

in #creativecoin3 years ago (edited)

I'm a sucker:
For Happy-Ever-After Endings
And people who after years of putting themselves:
Down or back or behind. Discover that they can come forward:
Because they have started to honor who they truly are:
A Beautiful Soul.

In my ephemeral art arrangements, I love to simulate an environment/landscape from natural elements that I've gathered from our local bushland. As the structure grows I can start to embellish it with other flowers and plants, usually from my or neighbouring suburban gardens.

The concept behind this piece was to replicate a swampy black pond/mire with its banks made from bits and pieces of lichen-covered branches and twigs and Australian indigenous plants/leaves and flowers: She Oaks and Grevillias. And then decorate it with an abundance of 'End of Winter turning into Spring' flowers: Fairy Azaelias and African Iris, Freesias and Violet Vanilla flowers.

Everything we do is infused with the energy with which we do it.
If we're frantic, life will be frantic. If we're peaceful, life will be peaceful.
And so our goal in any situation becomes inner peace.

~Marianne Williamson.

The image was reformated into a square for the Makers Place Challenge: Fit to Size: Disguise.

BEWARE THE MIRE: A Beautiful Soul Emerging. Pond of Abundance.

I wasn't sure what to call this piece. Initially, it was simply Pond of Abundance. But as I worked with the image for Makers Place, it also became: BEWARE THE MIRE: A Beautiful Soul Emerging. So now for Steemit, it's both.

BEWARE THE MIRE: A Beautiful Soul Emerging. Pond of Abundance was constructed from black seaweed floating in a shallow glass dish ~ Disguised by the beauty of flowers.

In another article, I'll show you how the entire piece was constructed. With the hidden symbols that underly a lot of my assemblages.

The assemblage was photographed by my pre-Sony incredibly inexpensive camera and so I ever so slightly stylized it with the Deep Dream Generator, using the original image as both the Base and the Style Images.

Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love.
The world changes when we change. The world softens when we soften.
The world loves us when we choose to love the world.

~Marianne Williamson.

A heart that is holding infinite possibilities.
A creative who is learning to trust the mystery of what will be.
A spirit that is willing to fly into new creative realms and share the journey.

@allyinspirit Beautiful as always, thank you dear ❤️❤️
I'm really starting to honour who I am - by not forcing myself to be or to act in an unnatural way, but maintaining the inner peace within my soul (((:

Thanks ever so much for your appreciation Joey.

Maintaining the inner peace within my soul

It's the only way for me too Joey. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Such a beautiful arrangement, Ally! Gosh, I admire how you compose your colours in your mind's eye ! They translate into such eloquent ambiance that really captures your messages. I can see the 'quagmire' for sure, the swampy feels, and then the burst of gorgeous life and beauty!

When I saw this piece, I feel suddenly rejuvenated! My eyes are made happy * ___ * !!!!

I'm SO pleased that you like this arrangement Spider and that it gave your eyes ~ The windows of your Soul ~ A sense of happiness. Spring and the colours she brings can really uplift our Heart and Spirit.

I always love reading your comments ~ Over and Over ~ Always so in touch with what other creatives are creating and/or exploring. We truly do learn from each other in this way. A million thank YOUs. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Wow! that is absolutely beautiful! What lovely flowers you have there and such a wonderful arrangement! Thanks for sharing!

It makes me feel really happy that you liked it so much @naturalmedicine. Perceiving and experiencing beauty is so kind and healing to our spirit. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Blooming creative in beautiful flowers, some pretty faces I recognize growing in my garden.

Flowers are poetry swaying in the sunshine, when dipped with early showers so refreshing to behold @allyinspirit

Love your poetical appreciation of this piece Joan. So nurturing and supportive. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

That looks sooo awesome and beautiful. Hope you have a great day!

Thanks so much @sgbonus. Although it's Spring here in Sydney it's been raining all day ~ Good, because the garden needs the rain. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

If we're frantic, life will be frantic. If we're peaceful, life will be peaceful.

I love the quotes from Marianne Williamson - who's she? I always love your work - it's so beautiful. How amazing that we live in a place where we can have such beautiful abundance of flowers in late Winter. Bring on Spring!!

So pleased you liked the quotes from Marianne Williamson @riverflows.

I've been a long term admirer of her writings and general philosophy of life: Her most influential quote being:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. ~Marianne Williamson.

Marianne wrote A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of 'A Course in Miracles' which was a workbook designed to help people apply the principles of ACIM to their daily life. Through this work, the channeled teachings of 'A Course in Miracles' became even more popular.

Currently, Marianne is advocating for the creation of a Department of Peace as just one of her policies in seeking to become the next US President. At the very least she is spawning a shift in mainstream consciousness. That love is needed in everything we do and needs to be in our political frameworks as much as anywhere else. This is a recent interview with Stephen Colbert.

Ah, yes Spring is so very magical right now ~ Breathing in all its beauty as much as possible as it always seems to be so very short-lived. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Thanks so much @manoldonchev. Always loved the concept of the lotus rising from the mud ~ Delicate flowers floating up from the depths of seaweed is (kind of) on par. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I adore the colors in this one! You have such a gift for creating beauty out of the simplest items. It works so well along with your talent for infusing such touching symbolism, too. I would love to see the process you take to come to this final product!

Virtually impossible to do limited colour schemes in Spring @plantstoplanks. Such beauty in the Spring flowers this year.

I hope to share the process of the construction soon ~ Takes ages to edit the photographs as they are all so bad.

In the meantime, I'm starting on my drawing for the latest 7-week challenge at Makers Place. Hope you have a beautiful and high energy week-end. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Such a beautiful and colourful composition Ally:)

So pleased that you like it George. At the moment I'm starting on a new series for the latest 7-week challenge at Makers Place. Based on some collage pieces that I created some time ago: Revamped as pastel drawings now with the theme of *Fragile Balance.' ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Pure beauty ! And accompanied by words of wisdom! Your posts are always so beautiful.

Thanks ever so much Melinda. Our Spring this year has been so beautiful. I wish it would last forever. Even in Spring bush fires have been breaking out as the drought has been so severe. No fires around Sydney, although we are on water restrictions which is very unusual for this time of the year.

This work was done a few years ago but just slightly edited now with the Deep Dream Generator. So pleased you like it. Eventually, I hope to use works like this one as reference material for my drawing. Have actually started now! But it's VERY slow going. Have a beautiful weekend Melinda. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Deep Dream generator. I remember trying that out years ago. It must have improved since then.
You are too dry and we are too wet. Ridiculous amounts of rain and flood warnings here.
