Challenge Completed - Chest and Back Day 1000 reps on May 4

This was my first big chest and back day since I started up training again.
I put in a monster workout.

Back is the one body part I really hate training, having 3 crushed vertebra makes it really painful to train. Usually by the end of a back workout I'm in a lot of pain, where bending down and even walking hurts. It's tough because there is no way around this, when ever I twist and turn with my back or band over too much it always flares up.
It is a lot worse my back from not training much for so long, so it will get a little bit better as time goes on but will still be fucked.

I went to the swimming center before the gym and spent an hour in the steam room and sauna, which was a really good way to relax and loosen up my sore muscles. It was also good to sweat any toxins out my body and give it a good flush with clean water.
I also spent 45 mins in the spa and by the time I got out I was like a shriveled up prune lol.
The spa bath was so nice just to relax in, and would have really helped my muscles recover. The heat from the spa bath really gets the blood pumping, so it's a good time to drink a protein shake and get the nutrients to the muscles.
