Natural yogurt cake
It is delicious to drink with coffee, milk or as is. In particular, this yogurt cake is very easy to make.
- 1 standard size yogurt (125g) natural (or lemon flavor)
- 3 eggs
- 2 parts (of the yogurt wrapper) of sugar
- 1 part olive oil
- 3 parts of flour for baking
- 15g of chemical yeast. Royal type. It is also known as baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- Butter and flour to spread the mold
1.- We take out and reserve the yogurt from the container since we will need it as a meter. Then we put the 3 eggs and one part of the sugar in a bowl. We beat it vigorously with a stick or a fork for a few minutes, until the egg has been well oxygenated and has doubled its size.
2.- We add a pinch of salt that, even if it is a sweet cooking recipe, the salt will enhance the flavor, we also take the other part of the sugar, the part of olive oil and the yogurt. We beat again until all the ingredients have been well integrated.
3.- Put a colander or sieve on the bowl and put on it the three parts of flour and the chemical yeast. We sift and again we integrate all the ingredients.
4.- We use a mold for sponge cakes (they are long and deep molds) with butter and sprinkle with flour. This is important because if not the cake will stick. Then we throw the dough on him.
5.- Finally we bake. 180ºC, heat up and down. It will take around 30 minutes to cook. We will know for sure when we prick with a fork and it comes out clean.
