🔥Easy cooking with me! (5) ~ Sweet Potato Round Soup!🍠 簡單煮廚房-好吃的地瓜圓來囉！燒喔～😋

As we know, food always represents flavor the local residents prefer and also provides a sign to judge if this place is flourish or not. Sweet potatoes had played an important role and also been regarded the main ingredients in Taiwanese meal about fifty years ago.

We can still often hear the elder people talk about how hard they had spent in the old days; moreover, even now they would adopt sweet potatoes into the meal in order to recall their childhood memory and review its smell and taste. And they also give children a lesson about “cherish.”

With the transformation from an agriculture focused society to an industrial one, the whole society is getting more and more promotion, and Taiwanese people are able to afford adopting rice to be the main dish; however people have never forgot this nutritious vegetable, in fact it is still served as a common ingredient in many snacks or even meals of Taiwan nowadays.

今天介紹的主角地瓜🍠在台灣的飲食演變史，可說扮演著重要的角色，大約五十年前，那可是台灣人民的主要糧食，現在聽到阿公阿嬤談論以前的生活很辛苦時，總免不了會提及早年只有地瓜飯地瓜籤及地瓜粥可吃等等作為映襯。

後來台灣人民經濟改善，所得提高後吃得起白米飯了，但也沒讓這營養價值高的地瓜從飯桌上消失，不但爺爺奶奶喜歡邊吃邊懷舊，地瓜還變身成許多令人垂涎的養身小吃或點心😋！

Today I want to introduce all the steemians a dish which sweet potatoes definitely serve as the main character, and you can taste it in many night markets or famous scenery spots in Taiwan. Now, let’s do it at home and at any moment you like!

而我今天要教大家做的是道甜品，在台灣的夜市或九份等知名景點，也都常可見到！但其實做法相當簡單，家裡有小朋友的，也可讓他們一起參與喔！

Ingredients & Steps

For the sweet potato rounds

• Sweet potato : 2 (about 150 grams)
• Potato powder : about 40 grams
• Sugar : 20 grams

For the soup

• Ginger : 3~4 slices
• Brown sugar : 30 grams
• Hot water : 800~1000 cc

1. Peel the sweet potatoes and chop / slice the sweet potatoes.

2. Steam the chopped / sliced sweet potatoes for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, boil 2 pots of water. (tip1)

3. Take out the sweet potatoes chops and mash them in a big blow.

4. Put in the other ingredients and blend.

5. Use spoon or hands to make shapes. (tip2)

6. Put the sweet potato rounds in one pot of boiling water one by one. As they are floating on the surface of water, take them out in a big bowl.

7. Put in the sliced ginger in the other pot of water first and keep boiling for 3~4 minutes and then brown sugar. Turn off the fire. Pour the sweet soup in the bowl with sweet potato rounds inside. Finished!

左邊的地瓜圓是用湯匙塑形，右邊是小朋友捏的喔～大小形狀不規則沒關係，好吃就行！

Tip1 : If you have a microwave machine, you can put them in a plate and turn to the mode “grill” for 4 minutes. It’s convenient and much time saving.

Tip2 : You can make lovely shapes with biscuit mold if you have!
