Wild Homesteading is all about a belief that by working with nature you can grow you homestead, produce more food and support the natural environment around you.
Each week I have been sharing my own wild homesteading journey in 2 homesteading report posts. But now I want to hear from you all.
The Homesteading and Gardening Weekly Contest
So what are the rules for this contest and how can you get involved?
First, this contest runs weekly starting on Monday and ending at 5:00pm Pacific Time on the following Friday.
On Monday I will make a contest announcement post (like this one!).
Once the post is live make your own post that shares what you have done within the past week to grow your own food, raise your own animals, and/or build your homestead all while working with nature.
Reply to the weekly contest announcement post with a link to your post before 5pm Pacific Time on the following Friday.
I will pick a winning entry based on how well the curator is working with nature on their homestead or in their garden. Make sure to frame you entry in terms of how you are getting results while working with nature.
You are more likely to win if you make it easy for me (and others) to see how you are working with nature!
The winner will get a SBI unit, a reSTEEM and full up-vote from me, and you will be highlighted in the Friday post announcing the winner and the following Tuesday contest announcement post.

Well, I can't say specifically how closely I'm working with nature with my gardening, that's a hard thing to define for me. However, I am growing some perennials such as blueberries, strawberries, grapes, rhubarb, and apples, as well as my regular veggie garden. In my most recent garden post from a couple days ago, I talk a bit about my blueberry plants among other things. Here's the link to that post.

The family is doing well here--my daughter is sleeping a lot and I love just getting to hold her and relax a bit. My son is really becoming a great little helper. He helped me remove a bunch of tape from cardboard for sheet mulching :) My wife is still recovering but doing great but we are both tired. But doing good.
I was just thinking, to get more exposure for this you could have a look at getting on the @contestkings whitelist in their discord channel. Their daily posts will have the discord link. Their criteria are that you don't ask for a follow, upvote or resteem as a requirement on your contests (which you don't) and that you specify a set prize which isn't connected to how much the post earns or is only a promise of an upvote or resteem (you have the set prize of SBI, the other bits should be classed as in addition). It's well worthwhile.
