[CONTEST] Cryptocoin Suggestion Contest - Round 3

in #contest7 years ago (edited)

Suggestion contest.png

Long story short:

I'm going to start each of my sons (3 years old & <1 month from due) a crypto trading account in which I mostly buy and hold.

I plan to buy $5 of a different crypto every week for each of them, but there are far too many options out there for someone with my sort of brain...SO...
My inability to make decisions could be your payoff!

Let me know what you think I should buy this week, and the crypto with the most upvotes at the end of the reward cycle for this post, is what I'll buy, and the first person to suggest it will be sent half of the liquid reward in SBD!

Here's how to enter:

  • Upvote this post so the contest reward can surge
  • Suggest a cryptocoin, that I should buy and hold, in the comments
  • Upvote your favorite suggestion in the comments (cannot be your own)
  • Resteem this post
  • DONE! I'll post the winners when the reward cycle is finished.

If the contest results in a tie, the reward will be split between all suggestions with the most votes

I adore that idea ,amazing . Keep it real. Cheers

I'd recommend litecoins. Litecoins definitely one of the safer options when it comes to cryptocurrencies. While I don't quite remember the specifics, I was told that the technology based on them is solid. Much more than a lot of other cryptocurrencies. When I first dealt with litecoin projects (I worked on litecoinlocal's logo and website design) they were about 4.00 usd a coin. They've gone up since then, and I don't think they're going to be going down by much. That's my 2 cents. Great post!

Thanks for the suggestion! Remember to resteem this post in order to be fully entered.

Bitshares is another crypto invented by Dan Larimer. I plan to buy some of that when I get done more money to invest. Could be a good option, save for the fact that it already blew up recently.

I've looked at Bitshares. Good suggestion!

I just looked on Coinmarketcap.com. it just broke through a billion in market cap. Amazing.

That's fantastic!

Sooo... anyone suggested Steem / SBD yet ?

If not, well... you're ON steemit right now, that's kind of an automatic argument in favor XD

What better reason? :D

Thanks for your suggestion! Best of luck!

Oh. Since they are technically different cryptos, which of the two would you like to be your final submission?

Hmmm... Steem, as that's our liquidity mainly. SBD's are supposed to be pegged near 1$, so their price isn't supposed to fluctuate TOO much (I think they're worth 2$ now ?)

So I'd say Steem, as that's what's going to increase in value most I believe.

Steem it is then 😀 I'll add it to the list of current suggestions.

Thanks !

Here's to hoping your kids grow up to one day check the total value of their wallet and notice they're millionaires ;)

That's the goal 😀

I want them to work a dead end job at least once to gain a healthy respect for it, but I don't want them to HAVE to.

Good parenting tip to avoid raising snobby rich kids : Don't tell the kids they have actual money... XD

I thought about voting for GrantCoin, a crypto-based UBI platform, but I'm honestly not sure if they'll ever get going... they distribute the coins quarterly to those who've signed up... except it's been a month since the last quarterly payment was turned into a blogpost about them needing funding to keep the work going...

I've got 7600 GrantCoins bought for 2$, just in case they ever reach 1$ value XD

If they die out... maybe I can sell them as collector's items XS

Hi, well this is what I think...
I think the Ripple is your best choice

  • In many ways, Ripple is like Bitcoin. Ripple’s XRP unit is a digital form of currency based on mathematical formulae and has a limited number of units that can ultimately be mined.
  • Ripple doesn’t collect transaction fees the way PayPal, banks and credit cards do. The deduction is meant as to safeguard against the system being swamped by any one individual who might try to put through millions of transactions at once.
  • Currently ripple has a low price compared to bitcoin, but crypto specialists are giving it a chance and predict that in less than 3 years 1 Ripple will be around $100.

I honestly believe that ripple is the best option for what you want. Saving for good and future

Great reasoning. Thanks for your suggestion!

You're a smart dad. I would invest in NEM & GRC

NEM has a lot going on with real world bank usage primarily in Japan and other Asian countries., They are right on the ball with smart contracts and have an easy implementation for business application.

GRC is a sound project with a dedicated team that provides computational power to the advancement of science. Rob Halford, GRC's innovator spent thousands of his own dollars to fund Gridcoin.

Thanks for participating! Which of the two would you like for to write as your submission?

Alrighty 😉

I'll get you down. If you haven't already, remember to vote for someone elses sugestion and resteem to be fully entered.

Best of luck to you!

Last week the obvious BTC won. The safest long term investment. This week, let me suggest GameCredits GAME

  • Already a top 25 coin, so it is likely to stay for long term (important in this case)
  • Gaming has HUGE potential. So this is not only a safe investment, it could also grow much more than last weeks winner.
  • Still rather cheap. The current market cap can multiply x-fold in the next couple years.
  • Lastly: Your kids will love gaming when they're old enough in a few years ; )

This seems legit . 🙂🙂😇

Thanks for the upvote, appreciated : )

Awesome! Make sure you change your suggestion vote to someone else when we get some more submissions.

Best of luck to you!

Siacoin. SC is the ticker and there are quite a few who think it might be the next Amazon Web Services, or the next Dropbox.

If distributed ledgers are the future, distributed computing power won't be far behind.

Great suggestion! Best of luck to you.

Nice stuff, will upvote.
