I have two feedback :

  • Probably sending a monthly report through wallet would help users know how much they got vs how much they gave. Also it would help shadowbot to get more visibility.

  • I see you are coming up with a new system where we need to maintain more than 1250 SP to get proper rewards. However, you did not mention how SP delegation would matter. For example, I have bought delegated SP, and I will continue doing that when my current delegation expires. However, there is no visibility on how the shadow bot rankings would affect this. Because it make take 3 days or even more to buy delegation. So during that period, will the rank go down and be restored when I have the delegation ?

I think shadowbot is working well and pretty fair for all, its nicely balanced, my only issue and its a big one is the abuse i highlighted, I think there needs to be clear rules in place for that on what is ok and what is not.

Too the lower SP people - what you have to understand guys that shadowbot is not a get rich quick scheme, you cannot expect to join with the free SP given too all new accounts and expect to start earning loads. Almost all accounts with a high pool priority have been invested in steem and for a long time, not only with time but with money - this has to be recognised and rewarded otherwise people with higher SP will simply leave.

What shadowbot offers to new steemit users is upvotes they simply would not get if they were not members, not only that but it gets your posts some exposure. Its a marathon not a sprint, set your sights on the long term goal not short term and in time you will be rewarded.

Exactly and as you pointed out we are evolving to focus on these types of things. For example our last big upgrade was including user's SP in their pool priority and voting weight allocation. This was the first big step toward ensuring those who invest in their SP earn more!

Our focus is now on getting users to Power Up each week. As you can see in our latest few posts we are implementing policies that reward powering up and discourage abuse.

Those who stick with the program earn! As you said "It's a marathon not a sprint"!

Yes that is a good change for sure:)

my dream is to win just 1 sbd, would mean a lot!

Shadowbot is a good idea, but has bad implementation and understandably so (Still in the process of development). The whole purpose of a pool is to combine the power of people to do something big, and everyone benefits. The biggest problem is the division of small guys and big guys. Shadowbot is absolute, not profitable for someone with low SP, which is the majority of people on Shadowbot. Smaller guys should have more opportunities to earn too (i am aware of minnow day, but it really is not that great). I don't know how to fix it, but if this is fixed, Shadowbot will take off tremendously.

How is a new member getting any upvotes not profitable, pretty sure that is pure profit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I know I have low SP and low pool priority so I make like 10 cents from Shadowbot per post, and I'm happy with that. I'm just saying that there are a lot more minnows then there are whales. So making Shadowbot more worthwhile for minnows would make Shadowbot an ocean, not a pool.

As a newby, about the only thing I am certain of is that NOBODY is getting my key/s. Period. On a second note, shadow is jut one more thing to "learn" about and figure out. Maybe, maaaaaaaybe a bot is in my future. But right now? eh....

How is ShadowBot safe?
ShadowBot only needs your Private Posting key, which is stored in an encrypted wallet outside our primary web interface. In addition, your Posting Key only allows voting, following and posting on behalf of your account. ShadowBot has no access to any funds attached to your Steemit account. Read more at steemit.com about your Key Types here

My account isn't getting upvotes from shadowbot,we have to resort to buying votes from vote sellers that were oppurtuned to have a lot of sp.from our perspective, shadow not was designed for steemians who were lucky to join before us, was it our fault that we did not join before time? The system should be fair to all.

Shadowbot should also concentrate on the newbies, most get discouraged as thier post don't even earn a cent.my account hardly earn anything from shadow bot.shadow bot should redesigned their programs to include minnows, they shouldn't be getting 10 cents which usaly occures maybe two weeks or less,
Secondly when some account get down votes thief earning reduce.even when they have changed from their ways and are now straight it affects thier earning from shadow bot.this should be looked into.
Thirdly the steemit community is growing daily, there is a need to design another bot that will Catter to our needs, it bad when you take out time to write a good post and you dont get anything in return, all because you just joined the community.
Please kindly put this into perspective.
Thanks you.

Bug report first: I might got the same problem with the not voting again. Right now I'm at 30% Voting efficiency and for quite a while at 100% VP. The last five votes I casted were over 24h ago.

Some Feedback:

  • Feedback is very important in designing stuff. Feedback and discoverability. https://99percentinvisible.org/article/norman-doors-dont-know-whether-push-pull-blame-design/
For instance, a feedback that you gained X amount of shadowranks compared to the week prior would be interesting. With that someone would see the progress and he is more likely to stay. (Less of those "Is SB only taking votes from me?"-Questions)

  • Also a complete overview of casted votes (Manual votes and marked shadowbot votes) could be interesting and probably settings for users over FVL to sort and filter the data of votes and Co..

  • Prognosis could be something to: How much can someone gain with a voting efficiency of 100% compared to 50% from SB? What would happen at Shadow Rank 50 compared to 30 etc..

  • Also now it "feels" for me like that posting daily is the way to go to get the most. Posting less or not frequently seems to hurt the reward. Looking over the data of the casters it seems that a high number of posts correlates with a higher earning on the same shadow rank and with sometimes even less contribution.
For instance, looking at Steem Basic Income, https://steemit.com/basicincome/@steembasicincome/steem-basic-income-a-complete-overview

"Each member's total voting weight is based on the shares that they own, but distributed across their weekly posts. This ensures that weekly income delivered to each share is consistent for all members, without putting pressure on members to create content every day. Since some members are quite prolific, their voting weight for each post has drops below 0.50%."

Based on that it wouldn't matter if someone is posting once per day or once per week. Reducing the optimization effort on the user side, because they don't have to post daily anymore.

  • You are already mentioned that you wanted to reduce the load of the server, loading every information over and over is quite the overload and not necessary. But making the data available on demand could be interesting to some folks. I like to scroll through the data and to look at the Casters what they are doing and how they perform.

  • Updating the Blacklisted site (last time is two months ago) and provide the rules after someone would end on that list. (Multi-Acc, Spamming really useless posts...) And also give people on that list the opportunity to get back from it.

Good I will provide the feedback

Great post :) Thanks for sharing

Shadowbot helps you worry free form upvotes. No doubt the casters play an important role and help the user the full worth of the post.👍
