wedding ceremony in my country or culture.(contest)

Nigeria is a great country blessed with many ethnics,people and resources.
There are many amazing stuff in my country,the custom, tradition and many stuff.
We have many languages in Nigeria even i don't know the numbers.
We have hausa, igbo and yoruba generally but there are still many ethnic group but those 3 are generally and legally recognised.

This post will be on traditional wedding contest by @reonlouw. I will be talking on the traditional wedding of yorubas .there is one general characteristics in nigeria different ethnic group wedding. Their traditional are most alike.

The yorubas are people who like celebration and things of joy. If you invite 10 to an event , you will meet thousand to show their love for celebration.the traditional wedding of yorubas are very good and interesting.

The event start with the husband already tieing a cow down in the front of the wife's parent house and his parent house. The husband would have sent tubers of yam to the wife'house. Both the two parents will do their cooking seperately and placed their tents seperately .
The event begins with a musician hired by the husband giving the a cool and nice song. The host or organiser begins by calling out the husband onto his seat and will demand a lot from the husband before calling out the wife.
He/she(host) will demand for stuff like transport fare to bring the wife, money for make up , money for childhood friend, money for safety delivery by the mother and many more.

After the wife is called out,another phase of the event start where the husband will be ask to prostrate to his wife parent and demand for the wife. The husband will prostrate for atleast for 7 times and after that the parent will bless the husband. The wife will do the same to the husband parent.

The phase is aspect where all belonging of the wife will be park out and the husband will be checking them. The gift are collected. The husband and wife will dance for more than 30 minutes and the cake is cut and shared between them and they exchange kisses.

The next phase is where they called the hired traditional dancers to perform and their dance are amazing the way they move their leg and body is un- describable. Then the next phase is where they will calling each members of the two family to dance and the music will be fly.
Playing will be playing till dawn.the event never end.
The couples may letter go to the church or court to legalise the wedding.

There is more to my traditional wedding than what is above,like i always say experience is can not written in word, you have to be there to enjoy it.
