Phoenix is my chosen name, so I'll explain how the whole name came to be, does that count?
Phoenix came to me in a meditative vision.
Wren was my name before this so I'm keeping it as a middle name - I've had it among friends since I was 12, but then took it as my first Pagan name in early adulthood (we Pagans generally change our names).
Velitas is the ancient (so, ~2000 years old) Irish word for "bard" (not "old Irish," from the middle ages, older than that, if you're thinking of that).
So literally, I am Phoenix Wren the Bard. :D

Now I wish my name was Marina. First of all it reminds me of boats. I love boats. All kinds of boats and ships. I love spending time near them, on them and about them. Hence why I moved to the ocean. Near the water and marina's of course. I also knew someone in my younger life that I really admired. Her name was Marina Brown. So Marina it is.

Lol, i am cool with my name. And, am growing into my Spirit name which is Gentle Warrior. But, when i was a young girl playing and playing about in the middle of no where, my friends and neighbours lived miles away, my sibblings and cousins were all younger than i was. I was always the oldest. I dreamed my name was Lisa and what a delightful dream it was!! Haha! At one point, a bunch of years later i met a cousin that came from far away and, she was a few years older than me. I dearly looked up to her and how she did everything. To top it all off, her name was Lisa! Haha --she was like my idol. When i was in grade 11 i was gifted my first airplane ride! I went on a trip to Lisa's wedding. Which was in an aquarium near the Beluga Whale tank. What a dream! Quite a story. LOL
Hickory started out as a joke. I wanted to change my last name to Awesome, but Facebook wouldn't let me. So I became a tree. Facebook was okay with that. 😂😂
Later someone challenged it as a fake name so I added Mackensie and Hickory Mack was born. 💜
It's become my chosen pen name.

I have never understood people who name their children with very common names such as Michael, Jessica, Mary, Jhon or if they are hispanic José, María, Carlos. What if they ever become famous? there are already plenty of famous people with these names, so it will not sound very original.
That's why in my case, I would have liked to be named: uvuvwevwevwe onyetenyevwe ugwemubwem ossas
Otherwise I would go with
I don't want to change my name. I can't even think of another name in case I must change it.
