For 1 STEEM, what do you see? The garden gnomes will give 1 STEEM to the best flash fiction story in the speculative fiction genre. Look at this image and tell a story no longer than 300 words:

A story must have a beginning, a middle, and an end. There should be at least two characters, conflict, and a plot. What do you see in this image?
Here's how to enter:

- Look at the image above and write a story inspired by it; the story should be no longer than 300 words.
- Write your story on your Steemit blog.
- One of your five tags must be "speculativefiction".
- Come back to this post and link to your story.
Your story should fall into the speculative fiction genre. That means it should be science fiction, horror, fantasy, or something weird. Hell, you can even mix those genres together in a mashup of speculative goodness. We wouldn't complain.
