Week 3/12/2019 - Win a Membership in Steem Basic Income - Tell us About a Favorite Freewrite
A Favorite Freewrite
Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.
Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.
We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!
The comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪
See the rules below for details.
In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.
To be entered into the drawing, go to the Daily Prompt post by @mariannewest. We are doing our best to resteem them to the Freewrite house profile.
Read as many Freewrites as you can. Then tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why.
Choose from the last couple of days if possible so others can go, visit, and, inspired by your description, leave a vote.
Win, Win, Win!!!

I ran across another great #freewrite from @jeanlucsr on a couple of prompts. They have been using freewriters as their characters and these stories are so funny. Please take a minute to read about our fellow writers and their antics.

I was late posting, so please don't include me in the SBI drawing. I just wanted to share @jeanlucsr's post @mariannewest. 😉

Thanks for the mention! Much appreciated!

@Byn does it again with a deeply emotional freewrite using the pound cake prompt. The beauty and tragedy of broken promises will yank at any heart who has experienced the betrayal of a promise at the height of expectation. Well crafted freewrite!

I love this freewrite by @wakeupkitty. She combined the prompts for hunger and for beads. Very creative!

Even though the story is a tragedy - a couple of tragedies, @wakeupkitty's writing always makes me laugh. She reminds me not to take life so seriously every time I read one of her posts.
Even though teachers can be mean, and thieves can be anywhere, at least none of her children was injured by beads in their noses.
If I think about beads I think about the short story of 'Jip and Janneke'. Two neighbour kids about 4 years old, always playing together (no school at that time for 4 years old). One of their daily adventures was a bead in Jip's nose... he was bored to make a necklace so thought out something else to do with it.
These short stories were written by Annie M.G. Schmidt. Many children grew up with it.

There are many reasons why we buy. It is proved we feel saver with a full pantry, a closet full of clothes and savings at the bank.
Some people buy and fanatically go to every sale. Some people only buy it they really need it and its on sale plus... they look for other opportunities. That is what @fitinfun does. So read her weekend freewrite and think it over. Who knows how much money you can save. https://partiko.app/@fitinfun/weekend-freewrite-march-9-2019-single-prompt-option-sale

I'd like to recommend the response to the Hunger prompt by @Emms which is a hard-hitting piece about a girl with an eating disorder written in the form of a conversation with herself, one part of her wanting to eat and the other part trying to prevent her doing so. It's very powerful indeed and bears repeated reading.
It is not easy to decide.
I am a hungry reader and all freewrite are worthy of mention.
But one that touched my heart and made me jump tears,
is the one who narrates @marvyinnovation
It is a real case.
Thank you.
