Contest: answer curation questions (2* 0.1 SBD reward)
n the past few weeks I tried to learn everything about curation. Despite my thorough research I still haven't found all my answers. Since a previous post with my questions did not gain to many attention I decided to offer a small reward, hoping to gain more attention for my questions this time.
My questions:
1 what is the precise formula for curation?
2a let's assume a post will only get two upvotes. There is a whale that votes after 60 minutes, when is the best time for me to vote?
2b Same question but then the whale votes after 4 days. When should I vote?
2c now let's change this example a bit. Let's assume there will be 32 upvotes. 30 from steemonians that all have equal voting power, 1 vote from a whale and of course my own vote. The 30 steemonians vote 1 minute after each other. So the first one in minute 1, second in minute 2, etc. The whale votes after half a day or so. When is the best time for my upvote?
3 what is your best curation pointer to share with me?
4 what percentage of curation do you get?

2a) Anytime before the whale. Generally at the 30 minute mark if it's not your own post, but if the whale votes before this point, it might still be better to vote before the whale.
2b) Same as above.
2c) If it's your own post, then vote at 0 seconds. I can't really tell much more from your example, since I have no idea of the SP of the steemonians, the whale or you.
Thanks for all your answers. Some of them (2a & 2b) are now solved. For the more comolex 2c question I should really know the exact formula. However in general I know when to vote.
With my last question I meant your curation fee as percentage of your total SP. In my case I received 0.025 SP for curation last week. I have 15SP. So that results in 0.025/15*100%=0.17%.

One trivia.. what is a whale?
I better provide the full table with names regarding the amount of SP a steemonian has. Note that these accounts are not hard. Especially in time they can change a bit.
Red fish under 500 SP
Minnow 500 SP
Dolphins 5000 SP
Orca 50K SP
Whale 500K SP
I am far from minnow
I don't remember the numbers by had, but I think more then 90% or even 95% of the users has less SP.
Also remember that you are only on Steemit for 5 months. So check out your account value after 1 year.
Note, I don't know if you invested some real money and bought steem or Sbd.
