Steam key Giveaway (The Sexy Brutale)
This time, my Steam key giveaway (from doubled keys via Humble bundle subscription) is for The Sexy Brutale. Steam link is here.
It is really hard to describe this game so I'm afraid I had to just lift the developer's description from their store page. It has been well reviewed and won this award.
All the guests are being murdered — horribly! — at this extravagant masquerade party set all across the sprawling and bizarre Sexy Brutale casino mansion.
Then at midnight, the clock re-winds and the grisly pantomime all plays out again in exactly the same way.
You awake on the floor of one of the rooms wearing a mask with a bloody handprint across it. It protects you from the worst of the evil that lays across the mansion, but you can only watch, and spy, and try to learn each guest's secrets so you can save them from their bloody fate.

Oh boy, now this game sounds like a damn good one. Have you played much of it?
I'm afraid I've not played much of this game. It does look really interesting, but it has been sitting on my backlog (damn kids again...). I noticed it had come out in the Nintendo Switch, so I might try it on that. Travelling seems to be my only gaming time these days....
Haven't had much time for gaming either. That's ok though. Steemit is sort of like a game. :)
Yes, I'm finding I'm spending more time steeming when I should be gaming. These new fads, they take away from the wholesome goodness of the old! On the other hand I find I enjoy finding the clarity of mind to write a post.

This game isn't supposed to be too long though. And I think it is okay for short bursts.
Once I got past the title of the game and went to look at the Steam link review, it actually sounds like a very interesting game to play for people who like a combination of murder/mystery/puzzle gaming. Everything I read about it sounds great, and I don't think I've played any games quite like it so I hope more people participate in this contest and win a game that they can really get into and enjoy :)
I have to say, when I first heard of the game, I had similar thoughts. I was completely turned off by the title. But on further inspection, it seemed like an interesting game.
Anyway, I could image that they might have thought it was a good marketing move to have the word 'sexy' in the title. But it might have backfired.
Do you have any other favourite games in this genre, I'm always on the lookout for something!
Well, the only other thing I can think of are the Square Enix mobile games like Hitman GO (also Lara Croft GO and Deus Ex GO), but like I said before this is a genre that I haven't seen too much of and therefore will be on the lookout for in the future on Steam now :)
I haven't come across your profile before, but musician with a science background certainly sounds interesting to me (because I don't think I know anyone with this kind of background). I will have to see if I can find out a bit more about you from your blog :)
Ha ha, nothing like a touch of online stalking! I have many interests, but I just like learning stuff...
But back to the game, I don't think there is anything that really fits this one. Puzzle game probably gets it the best, and it does have a unique art style.

Like most people here I haven't had much time to play games for fun, but to play games for 'work' I can probably make time for :D
As for the description on my profile... well, as a former scientist who dabbled in the arts and now can't seem to tell the difference between the two, I am hoping to find a story somewhere between the blurred lines of art & science :)

Interesting background. I completed my university degree in science and then continued onwards as a musician. Never worked in science though, but I have more that mindset than that of most musicians.

This game looks pretty awesome. Been in the back of my mind for a while. It looks like something of an adventure/puzzle game mixed with Zelda: Majora's Mask. You wander around the hotel saving its inhabitants. Everyone wears some cool looking calavera masks. It has a great theme and looks like lots of fun, even with limited replay value.
Good idea doing giveaways from Humble bundle on Steemit. Humble Bundle is worth checking out for everyone. I think right now you can get Dark Souls 3 with DLC + more for $12! Plus instead of pocketing all the cash, they give to charity with every purchase. I pick them over Steam every chance I get. Cheer!
It does look interesting, but I'm embarrassed to say (despite the extra key) that it has been sitting on my Steam backlog for a while.
Humble is the best, I've even stopped getting things on the Steam sales! I have a subscription to the monthly bundle, and combined with my existing steam account leads to a few extra keys that have been building up over the past couple of years. Steemit seems like a nice community, so I thought why not give them away here!
