With my last breath...I will give him life... - CONSTRAINED WRITING

in #constrainedwriting6 years ago (edited)

With my last breath, I will give him everything, I will give him myself with no restraint, I will give him life...

It was a rainy summer morning when we started our journey together. He was nothing, and I was everything. When I first saw him he looked so plain and dull. There was nothing, only emptiness that drew me closer and closer to him for my sole existence was to be used as a maker, a giver, and a creator. Emptiness is the thing that really gets me going, oh yeah... An emptiness that wants me to fulfill everything. He was lying there, naked and afraid, like a newborn child unexpected of what was to come, so innocent and so young. I love it when they have that young and fresh smell still on them, it makes me want to go over them even more, spread myself in all my glory and expose myself to enrich their purpose, no... Not enrich, to GIVE them purpose. He would be nothing without me, alone, boring and bored, just as I would be without him. We complete each other. In our coexistence, we bring tears and smiles to others. We bring fear to others, and we bring laughter, suspense and relief. There is always a special bond between the one who is sacrificed and that one who receives the given sacrifice, and even dough I am sacrificing myself for him I do not need your pity and I do not need your sorrow. I know I am becoming nothing as he is becoming everything and I know that in the end, you will see only him, admire only him. I will be forgotten, discarded, thrown in the trash. Noone will talk about me but everyone will lustily consume everything that I left on him. Am I angry? Am I jealous? I laugh at your stupidity... Angry and jealous? Me? You know so little about me... Yes, you use my kind and you kill us with that usage but what you don't know is that we live to be used, we live to die and we embrace our death proudly. We do it with honor because if there weren't for us you would no nothing. We gave you your history, we gave your memory. All of your wars and all of your victories would be forgotten had it not been for us. Us and his kind... What would you read to your children at their bedtime and what would you say to your lover if we never existed? How would you greet a man from a strange land and what would you put around a birds leg to be carried far away across great distances? Don't you see? We made everything. If it wasn't written it didn't happen...

Days and months had past and my life had reached its end. I gave him everything. Our human used me as he should have and he used him as he should have. I created something beautiful, we created something beautiful and as our human is making my last marks on him, as he is firmly holding me in my shrunken size and allowing me to give myself completely, I am giving everything I've got. Just a few more... I will give him just a few more... With the last of my strength and with the last of my being...

Very well composed and well concluded. I like your style. Its simple and easy. Good job done. @zen-art

Thank you honeychum 💚 It means a lot coming from you.

You have real talent :)

Oh, thank you 💚

Well, the picture really helped me figure it out... I kept thinking you were a journal. But a pencil, it is.

Hihihihih, yes I know it is hard. I did leave clues dough :) And you weren't so far off as you think. The narrator of the story is talking about herself and the paper, and the journal is close to the paper, right? Give yourself some credit, you were soooo close. Did you try reading again now that you know what it is? Does the text make more sense now that you know?

My story was very similar!

“I gave him everything” threw me off because to me a filled journal has more substance than an empty one. But you never said what the journal was filled with, or if the journal got to keep all its pages, so I see how it fits.

Nice, enjoyable piece worth re-reading ❤️

I've read jours and it's adorable. Since you also put pictures, I knew from the start what it was, maybe we shouldn't do that anymore? :) I wanted this to be a little mystery, I wanted it to be hard to guess so the reader has to experiences, first reading when he doesn't know and the second reading when he does. Your texts are great. I've read the Zoo one too and like it 💚
"a filled journal has more substance than an empty one. " YOU ARE RIGHT!!! In my story, "him" is a blank page that the pencil fulfills, when she is talking about herself and "him", "him" is a paper

Aw thanks. I didn’t even think about not using a picture - I wanted to show off my journals! Silly, huh. I totally took the fun out of it.

To be honest, I thought you were talking about one of your kids, but then some parts did not make sense at if you were talking about them. Now I read in the comments you were talking the journal and herself. I would never guess it. I just have to read it again. It would probably make more sense reading it the second time now. :)

But, I did enjoy reading it. Keep on writing amazing content like this and you will climb fast on Steemit. :)

Thanks for reading it 💚
So... the answer... The one writing and talking is THE PENCIL, and she is talking about herself and THE PAPER, now try to read again knowing that :) I am so happy that I managed to write this and nobody got it on the first read, weee for me :D

Well, it is because, you are a great writer, my friend. So give yourself some good old tap on the shoulder. :)

I will have to read it again now with new found information. :)

Yay! Congrats on your win. You deserved it. :)
