Moving deeper into the darkness of truth while beginning to see some solutions I now give you Number 4

#4. Fear of Loving Thy Neighbor

During the past 20 years the neighbors on each side of the property has remained the same. In the beginning, our present ecovillage home was inhabited by a somewhat nuclear family, our present, original inhabitant who was then a young mother, her husband with a beautiful son and daughter. The relationship with the neighbors was better than most relationships Americans have with their neighbors. More importantly, this relationship stands as a symbol of our relationship with our global community. I also want to mention here that when a predator preys on a stranger he does not want to know anything about his victim.

Point being that when a predator doesn’t really know their victim or you don’t know your neighbors it’s easier to victimize them without guilt or responsibility. Again, truly knowing your neighbor or your victim blocks the ease of exploitation. Previously to the existence of the ecovillage, the neighbors, during the period of the nuclear family had a very cooperative community style relationship.

Once the marriage dissolved and the ecovillage arose, the uncomfortable and confused neighbors became distant and the relationship became strained. We, as a planetary community, easily victimize those we do not understand or appear different. After the raid, while being prodded, they finally admitted to the truth. The neighbors had reported GoE to Code Compliance along with attending secret meetings with city officials. So, you see, loving thy neighbor can put a SWAT team in a sticky place.

The SWAT team is greatly concerned with providing for their family as has already been established. The members must point guns at babies to instill that they are resistant to love, nurture, caring of humanity and the souls in which they inhabit. Feeding of their own family is all that is real to them.

Those who have good relationships with their neighbors have stronger bonds with their community and as a result more difficult to easily victimize one another. Strong bonds with others lends itself to personal strength, standing self reliant and independent of the need of a guardian style relationship with your government and their policing of you and your world.

Sort:

In current-day U.S. society, it is all too common for neighbors to barely know each other - let alone be involved in each other's day-to-day lives...

It is my sincere hope that your neighbors have realized the error of their ways and are slowly getting used to the idea of living alongside you. Still, I know it is a stretch for many people to accept others living together in a tight-knit community, and perhaps it isn't ideal... but maybe they have come to a place where they can at least tolerate it...

Baby steps are still steps. ;-)

Taking responsibility for one's self in all ways, including relationships and communication, is of great importance. With honorable communication all things have solutions. Thanks for keeping it real, Love!!!
