Edge of Forever [original fiction short story]
This is short sci-fi story of man-vs-man in a somewhat abstract way. It is condensed down to 500 words as a submission for @jrhughes Fictioneers Writing Contest Man versus Man 500 word writing contest.
Wonderful. The only thing I was missing was some kind of mention of an error in the communications system that prevents him from answering the radio in the end.
Well, it was actually kind of implied by the silence in his ship. The black hole had eaten all sound. He couldn't communicate at all, even if he wanted to. If only I had a few more words to spare, you're right; could've made that clearer...
