Only Delegation Matters..🤔🤔
Does a community needs only a delegation to keep their member up and close. ??
I never thought that way, but interestingly such thing happening on Steem where Delegation does play a bigger role in keeping a member close to a community.
Surprisingly, such community never remain stick to their own words and keep changing their stances. Even after withdrawing the delegation the delegator started to be looked as a culprit and never to get the same treatment again. An unfair practices that may spoil the whole Steem ecosystem
Many would feel the sense of frustration in my words, but such thing generally take the trust out of the basic "community" terminology which always remain and considered as a most influnecing part in making the Steem journey smooth and beautiful.
What is Steem Community
A community on Steem plays an important role in making user journey smoother on Steem.
A Community is generally a group of like minded people having specific set of interest and who unite and stands together to spread their knowledge and interest among others. And in process they keep appreciating the work related to their area of interest.
On Steem, there are so many community that formed to bring like minded people closer, from photography to art, from music to sports, we have many community existed to keep the things going and happening for users of such interest. By joining such community one could easily get noticed and help in achieving the community specific goals. Infact that is the first growth ladder on Steem. Get into the community that supports your areas of interest and get noticed which further enhance your visibility among other members.
Way of getting Community Membership.
Getting the community membership is quite easy. Once you fulfill the basic membership requirement of the community, you pass through the basic hurdles. So anyone having a specific field of interest may soon become a community member.
However, there are few community groups who look out for certain specific way of getting membership.
Firstly Delegation Certain community asks their users to delegate certain SP to get the community support on their content, either may be through vote trail or through upvote. Infact I believe it's a good practice for a user to get hand on support by being a member especially anew one who always look out for support on their post.
Through delegation, the community also agree to extend their continous support to the user and help them .
Secondaly, Tags, few community groups formed over Steem BlockChain ask their user to use the community related specific tags to get the support. No doubt such way helps them to get into limelight and help.them onboard more like minded people.
A community may ask either of above two option or both. Any member get benefitted in both. If they have enough SP to delegate they do.so happily else they can opt upon the next one. Some community offers both the option to get the support extended to their user. Even if they don't able to delegate, mere using "tags" on their post may allow them to get benefitted.
Now the reason of getting frustration is when, one becomes a member through delegation and using the tag as well. But on un-delegating the SP. The community stops taking care of the member even though the user keep using the tag. That is quite an unorthodox situation and feels like community is fake . The real picture comes when they behave like the selfish way and probing that"Money Matter" always matters.
Delegation is Steem Investment
Delegation always brings a good return to the delegator, be it oncommunity or to any other Steem projects. Wherever they get good ROI they can invest their SP.
Any delegator are the real owner of the SP and by delegating they just share the power with others.Howecer they were always in a position to decide if they want to keep the delegation or not. If they feel it is worth to continue the delegation thy do so, but of they feel they have other things to look upon they can decide accordingly.
A community should not take such steps of the delegator in worong way. It is not personal thing, But the two faced community behaviours certainly take the cream out of the beautiful thing on Steem ecosystem. Like me many would agree that they get good community support and that is best thing happen to cherish the happy moment on Steem. Even if they do not get good rewards on their content, but they able to meet some well known like minded people through community that definately help them in many way. Every memeber always contribute for community growth and I believe they never been neglected till they remain within community and want to contribute to achieve community goals.
Ups and down are part of life, and community being group of people and a cohesive unit, they should always focus on helping each of the member or Steem user rather than just keeping the delegators happy. Not to forget each drops count, even a person a delegator and using the community tags , they are also contributing towards community objectives.
In lessor words, don't make a community only a place for money, as through delegation communuty may increase their own power and any un - delegation should not be treated as act of cheating. Every individual always contribute to community and they should always be treated with same faith and equality as other. In case, Tye member had worked against the community or taken steps that may spoil community goodwill. A community have full rights to throw them away and shut the door of such user forever.
Steem has a beautiful ecosystem, just keep them clean and fairer , rather than spoiling it with unfair practice and illogical discrimination. I had the feeling after getting such treatment, though nothing was intentional but people took certain steps in wrong way.
Stay Calm....
Keep Steeming...Steem On !!!
