The Minnow Power-up League Week #6
Welcome to week 6 of the Minnow Power Up League, week 3 of an an initial four week sponsorship from Steem witness @yabapmatt, and @steemmonsters! Prizes will be issued in Steem, and @steemmonster packs - https://steemmonsters.com/
We now have 78 minnows that have signed up to track their progress and road to dolphinhood. Together this week, the league member's have powered up a total of 2953.56 this week. To learn more about this minnow initiative please do have a read of our introductory post.

The Minnow Power-up League
Every Thursday we will be using SteemSQL database managed by @arcange to gather details on the Owned SP for each person that has entered the league. The current weekly owned SP will be compared to the SP held last week. The person with the highest SP growth for the current week will be on top of the leader board.
There are 4 levels depending on your SP levels. Once you graduate from one, you will be automatically placed on the next. When you graduate from the 4th you will be placed on the Minnow Wall of Fame. As this post could get rather long with the 4 levels, as we grow, we may consider splitting this into different posts on different days.
Level 1
Congratulations to @moncia90 being first in the league this week with a massive power up of 167.92 SP.
In a close second is @cryptoandcoffee (fresh off the redfish league) and third is @scrawly again. Nice work!
Also in the top ten is @shepz1, @serialfiller, @veryspider, @phoenixwren, @jlordc, @tamaralovelace and @xabi.
On the home stretch in level 1 is @definethedollar and @veryspider, you are both so close to graduating from level 1.
Level 2
There are now 18 participants on level 2, and this weeks winner is @mcoinz79 with an SP growth of 244.54. Well done!

@gillianpearce you have now reach over 2500 SP and graduate from level 2 to level 3 next week. Awesome!

At the rate you powered up last week, I'd say 1,000 SP will be happening real soon. I know in my case, I had one of the best weeks I've ever had—the trick is, doing it again. But still, you're not that far away at all, and so it's going to happen. Just a matter of when. :)

Yeah, I suppose that would be awesome just to find ourselves as dolphins one morning, but there's something to be said for swimming these murky waters, too. The journey is just as important, if not more than the arrival itself. Besides, once we do get there, there's still going to be more to do, right?
Wonder who's going to be putting together the dolphin power-up league? I mean, we're going need one. :)

It definitely helps when there's progress. Then it's a matter of being content with what we have done, while always striving to improve ourselves and our situation. At some point, I suppose, we reach enough, and then when that happens, the trick is to recognize it, and then find other ways to move forward, right? :)

Haha there is a long way from dolphin to orca. I think its 50k to be an orca.....I was hoping to reach 10k by year end but its not looking good. Maybe a league would help me

That's kind to say. That's not me setting the bar, though. There's others doing that. I happened to have a good week for once since I've been here. That difference pretty much represents what I've been averaging every two months. Unless blocktrades has another tax horror story contest, I'm not likely to see that again for another while. :)
It is nice to know it's possible, though. Something to try for, I suppose. I'm just not going to get caught up in achieving it every week, because if it doesn't happen, that's not going to be helpful to my desire to continue here long term.
So, just going to keep plugging along and be on the look out for opportunities. :)

Another good week on steemit and massive growth with 2953.56 this week. Great to see the leagues going from strength to strength every week and plenty of new faces joining. Thanks for the generous prize and hope to keep building along the way.

Hey this is awesome... a second place is amazing but a prize is even better ;-) Anyway, great initiative @steemcommunity I shall be powering up more after steemfest 3 as at the moment I need to hold it in case it needs to be used for funds, which unfortunately it probably will. We shall see... in the home stretches for level 3 sounds pretty good :)

Thanks paula :-) I'm looking forward to it massively and am hoping to be one of the few who actually post (real-time) during the week. Even if it is only a series of pics on steepshot with a summary of the talk/presentation I'm photographing. Lets see if I manage to stick to the plan... I've heard on the grapevine it is a massive party. Fun times ;-)

Another great week! It's fun to track progress from one week to the next. I seem to have plateaued though, so I'm going to have to come up with something different if I want to get to the next level. Some of you all are doing really well. Keep it growing!

Thank you @paulag for your efforts to bring us this weekly status update. Congratulations to everyone for the steady progress they are making!
And I certainly appreciate winning a prize and thank you for that! To be honest, though, I don't know if I deserve any prize, since I simply invested in more STEEM and powered up, after writing my most recent post on some good news, about the future. I am “in here” for the long haul and actions speak louder than words …
On that point, I would imagine you and @abh12345 have perhaps talked about this before, but I wonder if you both would see any value (if it can even be done) in another type of “reporting.”
Specifically, a “breakout” of the total Steem Power in an account by how much was bought outright and how much was earned through the upvotes of others for their content creation and curating. As an example of this, I doubt few can match the amazing @tarazkp, for the amount of SP earned through the upvoting of others vs. what he may have bought himself.
Yes, there is likely the big challenge – ”… the upvoting of others ...” Ideally, the “clearest picture” would be based upon excluding self-votes and promotional votes, as they do not reflect the value others place on your efforts … So, perhaps then, 3 categories:
I would be particularly interested in seeing information like this about those on our Steem Witness List, although I guess they’d required a 4th category – SP earned from performing their Witness duties ... 😉

This could be an interesting one :) I've tried to stay clear of the financial numbers but maybe Paula will consider having a look.
And as far as you not deserving a prize for 'simply invest(ing) in more STEEM and power(ing) up' - that's exactly who they are for - those with the long game in mind who can grow with us.
