WINTER 'BOARD' MEETINGS

This is another old video, but it brings back some great memories for me, and was the start some thing really unique.

This started as just an idea to rent a gym to skate in the winter times, but grew into offering longboard, and longboard dance lessons. It's been hard to get people to come out to the classes, but those that do come often become long time members.
This winter marks our 5th year, which I just started up again last Friday. Keep tuned to see some footage from those in the next up coming weeks!

I am working to convince my fellow longboarders to all join Steemit, since many are amazing, but underpaid content creators. Compared to many sports there is very little money in our dangerous sport, the pros often have side jobs, and even the world champion usually doesn't win enough to cover equipment/travel costs. Yet despite this we all work our asses off to create videos, just to build the excitement in our scenes, and share with each other! Not to mention the community of longboarding is one of the tightest, loving, and global that I have yet to have come across. Steemit is a very close second, don't worry. So point being, I feel they will they will be a great addition to the platform, and in turn I feel it will help them too as we all grow together.
So for that reason, and the fact that I am fairly broke too, I would like to ask if anyone can please donate a bit of SBD or STEEM to help me grow. All funds donated will be kept in the platform as Steem Power in the long term, tho I might use some to buy votes in further attempts to grow, and help longboarders who just joined the platform.
Once I get rolling fairly well, I also plan to do longboard video contests, sort of similar to trick challenges done by skateboarders. This will be entertaining for those that don't skate, and will challenge / teach tricks to those that do longboard. If you have any ideas, I am also open to hear peoples ideas, I am still new here, and know I still have lots to learn.
