I'm Sick of All the Nerds on Steemit
All things are subjective but a nerd is a nerd. That's right. Today we are talking about nerds because like it or not we are stuck with them and they don't seem to be going anywhere. Do you know any nerds? Are you a nerd? Chances are if you're upset by the time you get to this sentence you're not a nerd. You're a dork and you can go somewhere and pout to yourself. This is a nerd post and that's what we are going to talk about in this one. I am a nerd, I have been one as long as I can remember.
Nerds are not what they used to be when I was growing up. They are way different today, they think they are cool. Chances are most of us are a little nerdy. Some of us are really nerdy and others who are not nerdy at all should be watched closely as something is just not quite right with them. Like my wife @imaginedragon she claims she is not a nerd but she is basically, if left on her own and you subtract me and our kids out of the equation......or is she?
She thinks just because she doesn't play the PS4 or xBox One with the kids and I, she is not nerdy like us. I feel bad trying to explain it to her, she is the biggest nerd out of all of us. She is in self denial. She will probably read this to the paragraph above this one and yell at me and tell me she is not, she is.
So anyway, what the hell am I even babbling about? I am using Sunday as my "Love a Nerd" day. Nerds should not be left in the dark hiding the fact they are nerds. It is a waste of time when one denies their true self to the world. It would be fun if other nerds would follow suit and embrace their rightful place with the real nerds. I only picked out one type of nerd to name today but there are many other types which I will cover later as the are all over steemit, all you have to do is look under the correct tag to find them. The tag I am referring to today is #gaming I picked 13 nerds (some new and some old) to highlight today but there are thousands here. Go show them some love and look at their other interests and check out their games as well.

I went to a high school for nerds. When your whole school is nerds, there becomes a spectrum. I wasn't D&D level. I was more "studies on Friday night" level. Owning it.
You may have passed beyond "nerdy" to geeky.

Haha my hubby is a #nerd for many of the reasons you have stated above lol. As for me i didnt get upset so im not a dork and given im under the pretense that "dork" means a donkey or whales dick @trumpman im glad that i didnt lol. I am probably just as nerdy but in my own unique way. I often dance like no ones watching even if they are and i cant sing for shit but that wont stop me belting out a tune..

Can't we be both nerd and dork? I think I'm a little of both. My teammates @mellofello and @andykapps are definitely nerds, but they will never know I called them that since they haven't learned about Gina yet. ;)
Sometimes it's nice to embrace the quirky side within us. We all have one nerdy trait or another. Just like your wife, she must have at least 1% of nerdiness in her to fall in love with you, right?
Boy, I am so glad to have unfollowed the hundreds of people my teammates followed. I can actually pick up things in my feed besides memes and photo posts. Finally, some quality nerd post!
We can all be anything we want! That is the beauty of things.
My wife is a full blown nerd in denial.
Only follow those that make you smile or laugh or get mad. That is the only way to have a good feed going.

There was one person I had an intense conversation with, let's say we agreed to disagree. My teammate had followed him. Of course, I unfollowed immediately, but in hindsight, perhaps I shouldn't have done so. Afterall, the guy took the time to write a novel on his opinion, cared enough to reply back to get his point across, and is in fact, NOT a bot. Those alone are admirable traits. Oh well.
Yes, no matter how bad they piss you off a good conversation pro or con is always a plus. Sadly though a few of the bots around here hold a better conversation than some do, lol.
Lol, I did hear of some bots you can actually converse with. With every friendly banter back and forth, you earn an upvote. We must be bots too, of some sort. Who else would reward comments? ;)
