Steemit Ghana Curation Party Show - Wednesday, 2nd April, 2018.

in #community6 years ago (edited)

Just two days ago Steemit Ghana Curation Party for the week was held on our discord channel. The turn out was lower than expected and the internet was as usual, slow and poor for most but with couple people, with their minds tuned got glued to their PC and mobile devices to engage and interact with each other on discord.

What is this Steemit Ghana Curation Party about?

This is a feast but not a feast where we come for food and drinks but here you come along with your post and your voice to tell us something about any of your recent posts;

  • What inspired you to write

  • Why you made such a post

  • Any extraordinary ideas and thoughts you have put out there

  • Projects or ideas that you would want to embark on

  • etc

Well we all can attest to the fact that we have lots of such events all over on discord and as a local community we need to have one to help all newbies and also use it as a means for others to admire and critique what others are doing, provide them some good comments, recommendations and suggestions as well.

Let's get rolling, these were the posts presented

Lets Get Ready To Party...... Steemit Ghana Curation Party Comming Up

I started the event with a quick intro post which I wrote to share all and invite all the Ghanaian Steemian to assemble on the server, which very few did.

There are several Ghanaian newbies joining us on the site from several universities like #knust, #legon #uds #uner #gtuc and I will entreat them all to take advantage of these events.

Day 26 - Tales of John; T'is the second World War

@skodie dropped his post about a childhood marching song that was composed during the world war days. He happened to have heard some school kid singing that very song and it triggered and took him through the memory lane which got him matching all the way back home to write this post.

Check out the lyrics of the song, You will definitely love it.

@engineer-one is away from school as he came home for the Easter break and missed the regular Wednesday market day in Sunyani and decide to replicate visit the market in Accra.

The Environment is our home

@awuahbenjamin hopped in late but better than never. He presented his post about an initiative to help sensitize people about keeping their environment and in effect the whole world clean and free from pollution other than causing more harm to the environment.

This is a very laudable idea and wish we will all notice and engage in such activities in our own way. This world is our only home.

#Treetuesday with The Big Tree

@raskhern, one of our fresh newbies from Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science And Technology, #KNUST joined us with a contest post. #TreeTuesday is a steemit photo contest that causes people to rise up from their butts to go out and interact with nature, feel the breeze and take some cool pictures with some wonderful forage.

He got some tips on how to use the appropriate tags that relate to the post he makes and the expose his post to the right audience.

Check out the huge tree that was presented by @raskhern for #treetuesday

SONGSPIRATION: LESSONS FROM THE SONG #6 (EVERYBODY KNOWS)

I got a new favorite song from @nigtroy. This is a song I had heard before but not paid much attention to the words. @nigtroy was saved from singing the whole song by amybot on our discord server. Was a wonderful experience for all of us as we read the post and listened to the song.

Head over to @nigtroys blog to catch up with some wonderful explanation of some lyrics

Dear future husband, please don't try this on our wedding day, else Daddy will just finish you

The later late comer and last to present in the nick of time was @debbynep and what a wonderful post to end the event. She presented a post where she was sending a signal to his future husband. I could not get the post till I saw how far the dude had pegged his legs and how aggressive he was "Taking his points"

Follow @debbynep if you want to get more of such fun every now and then

These were all the post that was presented during our curation show. We hope all well-wishers and curators visit these blogs and show them some love.
