4 o’clocky D I S C O R D ~ Are you still alive ?
Is it crazy to just disappear? To sneak away? Is it weird if you have the needed information to move on? Is the interest real or lied about? Are there any values and norms? Is it out or chat out of mind?
I see a lot of promising bloggers come into a few Discord’s I am in, consume all the information up and leave without saying anything not even goodbye....
Is is out of chat out of mind, cause I want to know how your holiday went, I want to know if you got that job after the move and how you are personally doing.
I know the price of steem is low but socialising and learning is still a possibility. Or maybe you didn’t like it as much as the hardcore members ( or addicts if you will!)
It would be highly appreciated if you let us know , when you are off line for a while or were just fed up, a thank you is also a sweet gesture but guess that in some cases that to is so much to ask.
Only taking and absorbing is wrong if you ask me, give a little it might surprise you what you will get back.
So you know I am talking about you, change the way you doing discord now. Show us you are still alive and please be honest if you don’t want to belong anymore we will remove you and move on.
We won’t hold it against you .......

I have to admit, the more discord servers I join, the thinner it seems I spread myself. I only have so much time in a day to interact with the community on the blockchain. I prune my list of subscribed servers some and try to be selective on the ones I join. I don’t like to make a grand exit on the ones I choose to leave and am probably a part of the problem rather than the solution.
People know where to find me and stay in touch when lurking turns to exit.....or booooooot if @jaynie sees fit! ;)

It's a choice: Depth vs. breadth ... one comes at the expense of the other. Personally, I choose depth. Depth in posts, depth in comments/replies and depth in relationships. But depth takes time. And, as there are only 24 hours in a day, this inevitably means the number of interactions drops.
It's an interesting conundrum and perhaps one influenced by one's personality. I, for one, get little from engaging in superficial interactions ... I just don't see the point. If it costs me nothing to say it, it will cost you nothing to hear it. Right or wrong, such sentiment is not conducive to the making of memes.
From a system point of view, I suspect it's actually a positive that there are so many different people engaging in so many different ways. Tweet-like interactions broaden a community's reach. In-depth interactions ensure that it's a community to which it is worth belonging.
As ever, virtue's in the middle.

I'm sorry for not being there to chit chat with you all there brit. I have a busy day's because I'm selling barbecue, there is an activity in coming that's why we're now selling here..but just want you to know, I miss you all there in the steem terminal brit.

When I first started, I was more active on discord chatting but then I thought its best if I support them directly on their post.

You could be talking about me! In my defense, when I came to steem the learning curve was stupendous, and discord just seemed impossible to decipher. Now that I've gotten my sea legs on steem (as long as they don't get ripped out from under me by another fork) I've been venturing into discord. There's only so much time in a day though! I marvel at those who have time to both post AND chat in discord. I can do one or the other at this point. So what I'm trying to say is, some of us just can't quite figure it all out. We want to and are trying our best.
Good post! But you left one scenario out. They may have been pulled away by another server! 😜
On a serious note, I try to keep my discord time to a minimum, because I get caught up and absorbed in it, and wind up spending too much time there. Perhaps others feel the same or similar - ?

@ brittandjosie Hello, since I met you and I joined the SteemTerminal server, I have loved it, you are all wonderful people who made me feel at home, I feel you are my friends, I think so. I would like to be more active on Steemit and on the Discord Server, but you also know that I have serious problems with the internet and I ask God in prayer to be solved soon.
