Ghost Rider: Marvel Legends Ultimate Figure
This weekend I was able to pick up my first Ultimate Marvel Legend figure. Basically what that means is it goes above and beyond what a normal figure would have in addition to a heftier price tag. This guy set me back $40, but ultimately I think it has been worth it. I have been sitting on this guy for weeks now, he showed up in some local stores with the large price tag, and while I loved the figure I wasn't too excited about the bike. Obviously the bike is the main reason it is twice the price as a normal figure, and I just wasn't sure about spending that. After picking it up almost every other day and putting it back, I finally listened to the words of a collector friend of mine who said...
You know... Ghost Rider isn't really Ghost Rider without his bike...
I NOW AGREE
The bike really does complete him, and when you think about it the bike really is an extension of Ghost Rider. It bursts into flames just as he does. The detail is incredible as well, it has removable flames on most of the pieces, placed extremely well to give it the on fire look. The face of it is also detachable to make it look a bit more like a "normal" motorcycle. Probably my favorite part of the bike though is the functional kickstand. I don't have to prop the bike up on anything, and can pose him however I'd like on it.
One of my favorite things about Marvel Legends is that they typically articulate fairly well, and are decently pose able without having a lot of ugly or awkward joints. This Ghost Rider is no exception. While he isn't as articulated as the Deadpool I recently purchased, he has a point of articulation that none of my figures have currently. His Mouth! Being able to open and close it adds a ton to his "posture" and can help him look nice and menacing, as he should.
of course you like everything @saywha ... what DON'T you like??!
well reader... I am glad you asked. I am trying to make these action figure posts a mix of review/figure photos/fun so it is about time I started working on the "review" part.
The part I like least on this figure is the whip. It is pretty flimsy, doesn't fit in his hand well at all, and when posed it loses tension quickly and ends up just drooping from where you put it. It is quite flaccid lol long live @acidyo @flacidyo
Last but not least I had to pose him with my other favorite anti-heroes. I have come to realize that I am not really a fan of superheroes, but far more prefer the anti-hero type. If you aren't too sure what an antihero is, this was my favorite simple description I've found.
"a protagonist in a story who lacks conventional heroic qualities and attributes".
While Captain America may have patriotism, tries not to kill, and sends people to jail. Someone like the Punisher, Ghost Rider, or Deadpool will act as judge, jury, and executioner. Typically seeing in black and white, with less of a grey spectrum. If you commit horrid crimes... you die... period. Although put into practice in real life, it is highly flawed, in comics... I can respect it.

Let me buy you comics
Which side would Ghost Rider choose if there would be civil war 2 movie?
Well I havent read the civil war 2 comic yet, but if it were similar to civil war then I imagine captain america's side because the Punisher was on caps side and he is probably the closest comparison.
