Unboxing Sideshow’s POISON IVY & ELEKTRA

This past weekend, the UPS guy dropped off two big boxes at the shop. Those two boxes contain the sweet statues of Batman’s sexy arch nemesis known as Poison Ivy, and Daredevil’s Greeky love...Elektra.

Now these are some hefty collectibles and before I cracked em open, I had to do some shuffling on the shelves to make room. I had a nice prime spot where we had just sold a big Superman piece, but I needed to finagle a bit to make room for two new pieces. Once that was done, I was the eager beaver and I delved right in starting with Ivy.

As per usual, the box looks nice and pretty. Sometimes these boxes show the statue and sometimes they don’t. This time it shows her in all her glory to see.

She comes in several pieces. Body, head, base, and three pieces of the plant that all attach to the base with pegs. It’s super easy to pop together and took just a few seconds. I got number 7 of 1500. I’ve been getting some low numbers as of late.

She’s a beauty...isn’t she?!? The Poison Ivy 1/4 Scale Premium Format Statue is made of resin and flawlessly painted down to every last fiber of the plant base’s being. She weighs about 15 pounds and is almost 2 feet tall with about a foot wide. She looks sultry, and ready to destroy Batman...or any man to be honest. I mean...take a look for yourself. Oh...she will also set you back just under $600 clams!

Now onto Elektra!

Her box is mainly red and black and also showcases her on the box, front and center. After cracking her open, I noticed that she comes with a bit more than ivy. An extra body part. So we have the base, the body, the head, two “cloth” extensions of her belt and headpiece, the hands with her trademark weapons in deadly Sia’s, and two pair of right arms. One pointing down, and one pointing at you....basically screaming “I’m gonna stab the fuck outta you with this”. I dunno...

I got number 96 of 1500 on this one. The base is very similar to the Daredevil piece that came in a few months back. Same type of architecture and coloring so it’ll display nicely next to it. You can see that here if interested. Might have to scroll for a minute though.

Ok, let’s piece her together...

Ok, so here is where you can see the difference in the arms. I decided to display her in the shop with it pointing down. The non threatening look. I also didn’t want it sticking out for stupid people to grab hold of as they walk by.

The Elektra Premium Format Statue is also in 1/4 scale as to keep in line with the rest of the line. It’s also made of resin and painted down to her hoop earrings that look like they belong to JLo. It’s also weighing in around 15 pounds and...well...you guessed it. Comes in at around 2 feet tall and a foot wide. Just like Ivy! The difference is this will be a few bucks cheaper coming in around $575! Maybe Elektra doesn’t value yourself as much as Ivy does. I dunno. Dying might do that to a woman...
