#ColorChallenge is a photography initiative created by @kalemandra which has encouraged beautiful #photos and works of #art to be shared via #steemit. As explained in her posts, which she herself also participates in, each day represents a color and that color starts with red, MondayRed and ends with purple, SundayPurple.

I personally love the fact that the inspiration for the selections of these colors is based on the chakra system. For those unfamiliar with the chakra system, it is a term for the life force energy within a person. This life force energy flows and circulates in 7 different regions within the body and they are known as chakra centers. Each chakra center is represented by a different color starting from the base of the spine known as the root chakra in red, followed by the sacral in orange, solar-plexis in yellow, heart in green, throat in blue, 3rd eye in indigo, and crown in purple.

It follows the sequence of the rainbow because the life force that we all carry is energy and the visible energy we can see is light. When broken down into the visible light spectrum we get the colors of the rainbow which all vibrate at slightly different frequencies from each other. The red root chakra vibrates at the lowest frequency while the crown purple chakra vibrates at the highest frequency.

This is where the term "raising your vibration" comes from in that one is trying to shift their predominant frequency from a survival root based vibration to a more creative, loving, expressive, intuitive or spiritually connected energy which radiates from the other chakra. But keep in mind, all chakra are important even if they are technically vibrating at a lower or higher frequency.

Though some people may develop the ability to see these chakra, most do not, so for those who have never heard of the chakra system I encourage you to look into it more. There is a wealth of spiritual knowledge on the topic and a great deal of personal growth that can be achieved by understanding each chakra and what it looks like when those chakra are out of balance.

Here is a great site to read more about chakra and how to charge them and balance them... https://www.consciouslifestylemag.com/chakra-healing-energy-body-balancing/

But to get back to #ColorChallenge, I really love how @kalemandra has tied in an energetic and spiritual concept with photography and art. Not only that, but hundreds of people participate in this daily and it is a great way to stay encouraged to engage in #steemit regularly while sharing a spiritual concept in a fun way.

I hope you enjoy these beautiful pictures of these poinsettia. I had never seen such interesting flowering parts in store bought poinsettia and somewhat amazingly, these holiday beauties can grow into small trees!

If you would like to learn more about them please check out my first post I have included a link for here...

Yes it was from a month ago so I don't believe you can vote on it (don't waste a vote it's ok really) I just had fun writing it and it has some very interesting information about this beautiful holiday plant which originated from Mexico and was used by the Aztecs!

Oh there is also a great shot of this plant in a tree state! Check it out (if you want)

Hey Janelle, great post. But use your wisdom to write your individual posts of yours and entitling them accordingly rather than "wasting it" on someone else's photo challenge. You got huge potential, use it! Much love. Following you

Hmm, well I did write some very interesting posts on various social movements related to photos I have posted and didn't get much response. I suppose I felt I was better off to keep it more simple. It felt like people on here were more inclined to like a nice picture than to read a spiritual take on manifestation, chakras, or indigenous rights. I sometimes try to fit it in here and there with interesting or beautiful images but I suppose I was disappointed. Thanks for the feedback though.

Don't ever look left of right. Create your own brand and people will eventually love it and follow you. Keep it up!
