We at CoinGecko are always hard at work to make your experience on CoinGecko better. Being one of the leading cryptocurrency data aggregators, we uphold transparency strongly and that includes updating the community on what we have done behind the scenes. We hope with this fortnightly digest, we can better keep all of you updated on our journey.

First, a word from CoinGecko’s Founders

There is always something interesting happening in the crypto world. In the past two weeks, it has been all about stablecoins. Bitcoin price has stayed mostly stable except for a day when it increased 12% in a mere couple of hours as market became worried with Tether. We saw Coinbase and Goldman-Sach backed Circle joined forces to issue USD Coin, a new stablecoin to rival Tether. We view the development of stablecoins as a very positive sign of a maturing crypto industry. We expect more stablecoins to be launched and with so many stablecoins already in the market, we prepared this comparison page for you to easily keep a close eye on the space.

_{CoinGecko Updates}

1. We have revamped our homepage

You will notice some obvious changes on our homepage such as the tab to toggle between “Market”, “ATH”, “Developer”, “Social” and “Gecko Rank” on the main table. You may also notice that the sorting function is very quick now!

2. More prominent Favourite button

Do you know that you can display only your favorite coins using CoinGecko? You should try it out with the “Favourite” Button easily seen on the main page.

3. New categories

We’ve added new categories in the filters. Now you are able to see a list of Exchange Based Tokens using CoinGecko.

4. Tweaking of coin pages

We made some changes to the individual coin pages to better improve the information presented. This is still a work in progress so do share your feedback and let us know what else you would like to see on the coin pages.

5. CoinGecko partners with Utopian to power open source development

We announced our partnership with Utopian to speed up the development of our open-source Cryptoexchange repository. This Ruby gem allows anyone to query data from more than 200 exchanges with ease. We will be announcing our first task request very soon!
