Food Sharing #16 - Forsyth's Tea Room @ Edinburgh, Scotland - 今天吃什麼 #16 - Forsyth's 茶室 @ 愛丁堡，蘇格蘭

Today I’ll be bring you all to a traditional tea room in Edinburgh, Scotland. I normally show you around the city first, but in this instance, this tea room was so memorable I have to share it with you all before showing you around the city. The tea room is managed by an old lady and makes her own cakes, sweets, scones etc from scratch (at least thats what we were told). The tea room doesn’t have a website and info can only be found by visitors like us who have been to the room and loved it so much we are writing about it. Before I continue, lets say this is “a must visit” place when you are in Edinburgh.

今天想帶你們到在愛丁堡一個傳統的茶室。愛丁堡是蘇格蘭的首府。平常我會先介紹一個新旅遊地點才介紹一些吃的但這次我會先介紹吃的因為我在愛丁堡最難忘的事情就是在這間茶室吃一個下午茶。這間茶室是一個年紀比較大的老闆娘管理的。她每天會做一些蛋糕，不同的甜點， 司康等等。這個茶室沒有網頁所以是靠遊客像我一樣寫一下文章才有人知道有這個地方。我只是想說，到愛丁堡玩，一定要來這間茶館 “ Forsyth’s Tea Room” 試試。

The tea room is located in a small alley where no big bright signage so you need to keep your eyes open or you will miss it. When you have found the tea room and step inside, it seems like you have been transported back to the old days. Have a look at the photos below.

這間茶室是在一條小巷裡面。老闆沒有設計一些起眼的招牌所以一定要慢慢找否則會走過的。當你找到之後一進去就好像回到以前的時代。你看看下面的相片就知道了

Every corner of this tea room is decorated with care and really has the old English feel to it. The narrow tea room is small and cosy so you won’t expect to see large parties here.

每個角落都是老闆很用心來佈置的而且很有一些古老的英國感覺。這間茶室非常狹窄所以你不會看到這裡會有一大班人來。

The tea room is self service and the lady who runs this place have been doing it for years so she can also tell you what there is to see in Edinburgh if you were ever stuck with locations. The food they serve is great - all day breakfast, homemade soups, sandwhiches, scones and their popular bacon roll. Here is the menu below and also what could order on the day - plenty of cakes and pasteries! Also the price was quite reasonable.

茶室裡是沒有什麼服務的所以你要到外面訂餐。老闆娘在這裡開店開了很久所以你有什麼東西想問活要提議去哪裡玩她可以告訴你。他們的餐牌上有很多不同的選擇給客人 - 整天都有早餐吃，自己做的湯，三明治，司康和他們最受歡迎的鹹肉包。價錢也是很合理

We ordered a few things - soup of the day, scones, bacon roll, teas and some other drinks. We were given the old school trays to take the food back to our table. Also they have some really nice home made jams.

我們叫了幾樣東西 - 有湯，鹹肉包，司康，茶和一點其他喝的東西。老闆娘給了我們一個很懷舊的盤子那我們的食物到餐桌上。還有他們自製果醬是非常好吃的

The soup and bacon roll was fantastic! Having a quiet afternoon tea at Forsyth’s Tea Room definitely is recommended if you want to stay away from the busy main strip at Edinburgh.

我覺得湯跟鹹肉包是非常非常好吃。如果你到愛丁堡， 你一定要來 Forsyth’s Tea Room 吃一個下午茶。
